Anyone score any of the Django Unchained movie figures before they were yanked from production and sky-rocketed in price? They are now banned from Ebay as well. I got my Django figure in the mail before the ban...took one look at it and thought it was killer... I went on Ebay to buy another of the characters from the movie they produced only to find every one of them listed was selling for 400-500 dollars. I paid 29.99 for it a week before they were yanked.
Really nice figures. Too bad Al Sharpton sucks. I Hope Quentin Tarrentino goes and takes a steaming crap on the hood of Al Sharpton's Mercedes.

This whole situation is ridiculous. I can't imagine them selling well to begin with (except for the main characters), the ban only served to bring more attention to them.

This is mental. It could almost be foreseen by some, I reckon. A lot more characters than I'd expect from a Tarantino film too. I fail to see how the figures in their own right are offensive. Well, we better put every Cowboy and Indian set in the trash now, those times just weren't pc enough I'm afraid.

Love the Cowboy and Indian point. Maybe the next things in line to be banned are: A-Rod and Barry Bonds Starting line up figures O.J Simpson doll Inglorious Bastards Figures Little Black Sambo merchandise Family Guy Quagmire figure (complete w/ blow up doll) Kick Ass - Hit Girl figures any figure with a gun or other weapon accessory Elmo toys Afro Samuria figures Jesus with "Glow in the dark hands" no really :-) look: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3X-8KSNqDY

Some sources say 2500 were produced and only 1000 released. (I didn't research that very hard) By process of elimination: I read that Whoopi Goldberg has a set. it better be red has one. DiCaprio collects, so he'll have a set. That leaves at least 987 to track down - "To the Django-mobile, Robin!" Edit: aww, man, Elmo. Don't think anyone can look it him the same. Haha OJ actually crossed my mind too

oooh... Al Sharpton probably just unfriended Whoopie on his facebook page.
Just to be clear. I have The Django figure...not the whole set. I wasn't that quick on the draw. (or didn't have the money to drop on the whole set just then) I was going to chisel away at it...assuming the prices were going to stay earth-bound. Even though I own the Django figure...I am hopng that once the feeding frenzy dies down the prices will drop down to affordable range ...so I could get a crack at some more. For I loved the movie...and the figures are just damn cool.
Tickle Me Elmo Doll.... Now that's just not cool.
Django-Mobile. Awesome :-) Serious Horse Power!!
Speaking of offensive. Were there ever any black Catwoman (Eartha Kitt) figures or dolls made ? (I bet Whoopie has one if they did...rock on Whoopie! Oh......and Al Sharpton probably has one too...but he would never display it.... no that would be racist...or something.
Oh....am I still typing.

This is certainly a unique action figure bubble. I've seen some people talking about paying thousands. I'm sure more of these figures have to be in a storhouse somewhere. If not, then this may become one of the rarest and most sought after figure lines of all time. I'm betting more on surplus supply though.

Maybe we should wait for the knockoffs to hit the shelves.

Does he still collect? I thought he sold it all. Whoa, what if he cooked up this whole scheme? This is a pretty big deal in "toy history" perspective, and to be the orchestrator of it and watch all go down, that's pretty epic. It is completely absurd to me that these dolls got made in the first place, having them be a ridiculous part of his crazy plan fully explains them though. DiCaprio did it 2013

The film production company sent a whole set of the figures to my office. We have a display case where we keep the props/swag we get. Some of the stuff is pretty awesome like young Joe's blunderbuss from Looper.
My boss was going to throw the Django dolls away until I told him about the prices they fetch.
We will probably sell them and throw a raging kegger, or buy some new office equipment. Whatever is funnier.
On a side note, there is no way these stupid prices last. I know our office, an audit firm, and two attorneys that got full sets. These dolls were also given to the crew as swag.
