Such as action figures or videogames this year at rummage sales/garage sales?

Less and less older video game systems, though I did luck out with a boxed Intellivision and a Commodore 64 system about a month back (both at the same sale). Other than that, just PS1, N64 stuff and newer.

This past Saturday was probably my best garage sale day since I can remember. Picked up a Terrordrome, MOTU 2 castles with a few figures and vehicles for $30, a life size Chucky doll in the box for $40, a Green Ghost game for $60, a Doctor Who remote control Dalek for $6 and a bunch of other non toy items.
For some reason I find fall sales are best for vintage figures while earlier in the season is best for video games.

Best this summer I guess is this: Whole box for $30. I bought it at a church rummage sale from a kid who purchased it earlier that day for $10. Yes, I ripped a little christian kid off. Yes, I am fine with burning in hell. This was a good one. I was out of transportation for the weekend, so I checked CL to see if there were any yard sales walking distance. I found one 3 blocks away mentioning "old action figures" so I walked and lugged this back home on foot: If I had the car that weekend, I would of NEVER stopped there (as I usually find crap in my town). I also got a Castle of Deceit for NES for $2

Managed to pick up a Muppet Babies Animation Cel at a thrift shop for $2. My interest in Muppet Babies is moderate, but as an impromptu gift the missus was pretty stoked with it.

Their were tough to part with though.

But think of the profit that you can roll over into other things you want more!

The Dalek I can understand, but I never expected a Chucky doll to fetch so much. Though thinking of Horror fans I've met they do spend big $.

I'm really going to push to try and thin out my flea market stock (most of it non-toy stuff). I may do a hard garage sale push this spring...

I saw an Airwolf NES game pretty near mint in box. It was only 3 bucks but I was actually out for Christmas shopping and just couldn't resist stopping. I didn't want to spend money on myself though that I could spend on someone else. I was gone by the time I got into there again. Not a super crazy good find but it's one of those one's I'll think about for a while just because.

Due to the tons of snow we still have on the ground, looks like Garage Saling is starting late this year. Went to one community/school sale last week and bought a large box of Bionicles for $20. Not sure what I am going to do with them yet, but I had to buy something.

My best find last year was a king sized comforter bag overflowing with loose Bionicles figures and sets as all for $8. I've made at least $150 off of that bag so far and still have more to sell.

Cool, Madcow do you know of any good ID sites so i can make sure the parts are matched up correctly? Well this year so far, goes down on record as once of the worst years for finding old toys - of any kind. Not only are their less sales than previous years (probably due to the weather), but we're now heading into July and the dead of summer when things really drop off.

The wife and I hit some garage sales today. I found some stuff at one so the day wasn't a total bust collectibles-wise. I got some Beetlejuice figures(largely incomplete)along with a couple of Beetlejuice accessories. Also found one Adventure People figure, a naked and accessory-less Zodac from vintage MOTU, a 3 3/4" female figure that says LFL 1985 on her that I can't identify, a un-colored-in Superman coloring book from the 70s, and a Superman tray puzzle from the 70s as well. All for $12. I might post a pic or two of the stuff down the road. I felt like the Toy Hunter, going through boxes of old toys that had the occasional bug crawling in them. I could have done that all day. I didn't find anything like a copy of Action Comics No.1 in a wall but it was fun anyhow. The unidentified female figure turned out to be Kea Moll from the Droids Star Wars line. Chalk another id up to the internet.

I haven't had a hit in a while. I found a box of Starcom and Flying Fighters a few weeks ago for 5 dollars, but that is the only hint of vintage stuff I have seen since December when I had a nice Transformers find.

Absolutely nothing yet. Too many scavengers and Ebay dealers in my area.

I managed to get 2 Atari 2600s, 71 games (some duplicates), 4 joysticks, 3 paddles, and 2 cases for the consoles for FREE this spring. I tried and couldn't figure out the Ataris yet, I think I need a new adapted for my TV. The one that I bought sounds like a rattle.

I found a 5 pound pile of Construx from the 80s at a garage sale. Paid $2 for everything including 2 carrying cases.
I am still waiting for that big action figure score at a yard sale or flea market. Mostly just common stuff.
