Several tips
1. Keep diligent. I often find that I have to be generally patient to find the stuff that I want at decent prices on ebay.
2. Use your head - figure out good search terms. There are several of us on here who have good searches set up, and we tend to keep them to ourselves to get the good deals. It's sort of an understanding on the board.
3. Communicate with sellers, and see if they are willing to separate anything out.
4. Again, patience is key. Don't get antsy and make a bad buying decision.
5. Garage sales are almost always where the best prices are, not ebay.

Tell me about a great deal!

I actually am happy when I get a break and there's nothing major on Ebay that I absolutely need for one of my collections. I (try to) limit my toy spending to $200 a month, so I have extra if something good comes around the next week or month.

Well, I thought there was nothing to buy too, now I went and spent over a hundred on Ebay last night on an AD&D Deeth and a Little Mac Nintendo Punchout figure. Needed both though to add to collections, and the Deeth was $96 OBO I got it for $76, looks to be in really nice condition, plus I made some extra cash selling stuff I paid like nothing for, so I basically got a Deeth for a WWE Rumblers pack I paid $6 a few months ago in Target and sold for $36, and 3 Starriors cars that were thrown in a bit lot auction I bought as doubles, which I have since made my money back on, they sold for $42.

I got the opposite problem, kinda'. Too much stuff on e-bay I want... more than I can justify regarding space (keeping the inventory light, I travel a lot)
Hang tough, adamevry2012, it helps to twist up all the possibilities in your search settings. The best deals will come from sellers who aren't toy experts. They won't list their items in an obvious fashion.

My problem is having tons to sell and not a lot of time to list. I never have problems finding stuff to buy.

As for me, I have just the opposite problem: I have too much to buy!

I always have too much to buy as well, why I finally decided to cut way down and focus on certain types of toys instead of a little of everything.

In July and August there are quite a few things coming out I wouldn't mind having, but I'll have to see how it goes. There hasn't been a whole lot out there this year that I've been excited about.

What lines do you collect? Maybe that will help..or if you have everything you want maybe start a new line. There's some good stuff on ebay you just got to find it.. I have the same problem with stuff like Food Fighters where the seller wants $20 for a loose incomplete figures.

There's some new Universal Monsters figures by Super 7 coming out as well as some new Planet Of The Apes figures from the classic movies by NECA, some Big Bang Theory 8 inch and 3 3/4" figures, etc. A large percentage of items I currently have my eye on are available as pre-orders only as of right now. There's also some new Monsters coming out around October by Diamond Select.

I don't like pre-orders i hate when the release date gets changed, I'm still waiting on the Reaction Escape from New York.

I only like pre-orders if they will take the payment at the time of pre-ordering it so at least it's already taken care of.
