Does anyone know the name (if they even have one) for either of these lines?? I've seen color variations of the first set of figures, but never a name. Is either line rare/sought after?? Did the "prism" figures come with weapons?

Seen both types many-a-time...yep, and in different color variations. Seen 'em as gumball/vending machine toys, arcade ticket prizes, and even in toy crane machines back in the day (1980s). Sorry, not sure if the bottom ones did come with weapons or not. I have many of the ones in the top pic...but without the black paints apps on 'em. Some of the animal styles area actually new to me. Great find! Glad to see there are more varieties still out there. I know for sure that "more colorful" versions exist with pastel colored armor. The bottom type I've seen a snake, a buffalo, and I think an elephant in my internet journeys. As for being sought after...eh, who knows...I know I try to track these down at a casual pace without having to pay a bazillion bucks!

www.beastformers.com/checklist.cfmThe bottom ones look like War Monsters a Canadian boot line, and it looks like most of them did come with weapons. The top are random vending machine/arcade prizes, I've never seen them come with weapons but I'm not a Battle Beast collector other than picking up loose ones when I find them out and about.

Oh, and I have no idea if those prices are right I don't think they've updated in years, but I know Battle Beast collecting requires crazy deep pockets so possible.

Here we are...I actually found out the names many moons ago, but here is an example of the packaging: TRANSMEGATOR! Twenty in all. Yes, it can be assumed there are variations for each...Hell, I got one. Wrangled eleven of these (one opened)...all sealed in these blind pack pouches. Each came with the folded check list. Love the names. Here's my collection so far. Soooo...robots? Apparently. Evil animatronic sculptures that gained sentience and ran amok? Maybe! You'll notice that out of the few I have, none truly match the deco on the check sheet. I only got one double (the lion), but he was a color variation. Sweet! The ones with the metal armor and less colors are Zuetron Defenders, in case anyone was wondering. Not sure which came first.

lol, the whale head guy is hilarious. Looks like a Batman sign on his chest. Maybe "Whale Man"?

Those are cute! There even is a hammerhead shark character. I don't seem to recognize the species represented by "Megafin", though...

Man, looking at that price guide, Battle Beasts and all the laser beasts, drills, premium figures, must be one of the most expensive toy lines to collect, especially considering the loose prices. I gotta say though, some of the customs on there are reaaaally cool.
