no doubt. clearance is the way to go. i mildly liked the green lantern movie figures. my liking wasn't anywhere near the prices they carried. over the last couple months, i've nearly completed the set from clearence shopping, paying no more than $2-$3 each for them. some stuff i paid retail for though. like all the power rangers samurai stuff that has been coming out. i get it at reg price as i find them. i think a lot of the high prices and lack of choices in toys coming out has to do with the fact that it feels like everyone waits for clearance. i've heard people complaining that the amount of action figures in their local stores isn't anywhere near the abundance of a couple decades ago. stores won't carry tons of stuff if it just eventually goes on clearance.

Very solid point man. Eventually stores won't carry ANY action figures if they continue to go on clearance.

not to derail the subject, but i was always curious. how many points of articulation does a baf have? isn't it marvel legends that advertises their "6.3million+" points of articulation? ;D

I'm the same - its about £8 for a 3 3/4 figure - erm, no way. Sometimes I have stumped the cash if I really wanted it but I think the price of figures in that scale isn't worth £8, should be half that really at least...Recently, my local The Entertainer miraculously had Reveal The Shield Transformers on clearance at £6.50 each...they either found the batch in the stock room and finally put them out I bet, I bought Mindset one day and on an off chance popped in and saw they'd restocked the section peg with a few more and I mean FEW, and saw Jazz from the same range...so I bought him. usually they were £13! I generally think the prices of toys like Lego even are overblown and overpriced...it disgusts me. And I agree, time was when shops stocked lots of differing lines, now you get meagre pickings...

Wow and 8 pounds equals like $20 now! I'm curious, are toys in general more expensive over there? I've seen some stuff on ebay listed by peeps in the UK and it generally seems a little on the high side once you make the appropriate conversions.

I've seen some stuff on ebay listed by peeps in the UK and it generally seems a little on the high side once you make the appropriate conversions. Everythings bloody expensive in the UK, houses, cars, food - speaking of the £8 = $20, two rare sirloin steaks (for frying at home) bought in the foodshops costs the equvalent of $20, so if the choice was between buying a toy or two steaks I can cook at home and eat with some chips (fries to you but thicker cut) I'll take the food...The only time toys go down is when its on clearance - i.e. movie tie in crap like Iron Man 2... Theres a tv show in the mornings here about houses bought at auction and done up nicely, one house was done up really nice and then valued at £75,000 as its in the North of England, where I live down South, my homes worth £250,000 BUT when you sell a home theres all these deductions so I'd end up with £193,000 at best...so its pretty shit in the UK to buy 'stuff'...
