I just found out the mother-in-law bought my son some walking dead action figures. I got no clue about these and have not paid any attention to them. Does anyone else have these? I love the TV show. I often think "please do not mess it up" like so many other shows, BSG and so on. Is there plans to do a bunch of these? I think there are some comic book figures and some TV figures...

Actually just heard about these after last Sundays episode of the show on the "Talking Dead" post show. Never said much about them other than they are by McFarlane, though AMC's site says they will be available at Walmart www.amctv.com/shows/the-walking-dead/merchandise

I saw these in a few stores around recently. I'm far more drawn to the comic based designs than the tv series designs. The zombies with 'head-splitting action' etc. are quite original and fun too. I only want them if they get cheaper (currently $25 AU.) Man, I envy the clearance sales you get in the states and Canada, they just do not happen in New Zealand and Aussie. You'd spit tacks to see rack prices here!

It seems like these aren't selling well, probably cause they are 5". What made McFarlane switch to that scale? Same with his Halo stuff.

I don't understand how they wouldn't sell, compared to some of his other terrible releases, it's both a popular comic and tv series, I would expect the figures to appeal to more than just toy collectors. I'm just glad McFarlane ain't afraid to incorporate some decent posability into his stuff now.

They've had the comic and TV line. I think there is a series 2 that is supposed to come out soon as well. The show is definitely gaining popularity. We'll see what happens with these toys...hopefully McFarlane does well with them. Brando81 www.jmdretail.comFacebook jmdretailtoys

I see these the t.v. series at Wal-Mart but even in the clearence aisle they are $12.00 (not sure if they are on clearance or just don't have a spot on the planagram). From a guy who'll fork over $9 for a Marvel Universe whom don't come with even a third of the cool accessories you think it wouldn't be a problem but it is. I really wouldn't mind picking up a Daryl figure (loved Norman Reedus since Blade 2).

I only own one of them but it's so cool that I didn't even realize it was Mcfarlane for quite some time. I got on clearance too Cartoony figures make sense at the 5" scale.

Was at TRU, and saw one of the new Walkind Dead figures, and grabbed it (Merl). I REALLY like the packaging and size of these figures. I like them MUCH more than the traditional McFarlane bubble case. Does anyone else out there like these? I guess it is the 3rd figure series, but they went in a different direction for these figures?

I've held out but I think that Michonne and her "pet" zombies would look pretty cool on any shelf. Of course the price kind of puts a halt on any serious consideration.

Why does the Daryl sell so high? I have seen them on ebay for around $200, and I just checked the Walking Dead website, and on Amazon they are selling for $280!!!! The figure looks lame (IMO), but I know he is very popular in the show, but c'mon $280? ??

I kick myself because I had the chance to buy 3 of them when they came out but I passed because they looked like crap and McFaralane hadn't made a figure worth the anything in years. Who knew?
