I know there are a few Battle Beast figure fans here so i'm passing along the word.. Last month we were discussing the early teaser image release of this line in the Battle Beasts thread on Hisstank ( a GI JOE forum) and now it looks to be a full blown line! Rise of the Beasts - Series 1 by Jon Karis — KickstarterUpdate: Exclusive gold armored figure will be provided for pledges at a specific level! As a fan of M.U.S.C.L.E.S. and Battle Beasts (not to mention owning Masters of The Universe product both vintage and MOTUC) this is everything i love wrapped in one package I'm all over these so i figured some of the old school fans of MUSCLES and Battle Beast would want to know !

I would have to see the paint jobs on the actual retail figures but these look pretty sweet. I usually don't like re-hashes but these guys look pretty nice. Kind of remind me of Warhammer figures.

Absolutely amazing. I don't care what scale they do it in, Battle Beasts are some of the coolest toys of all time, and are well deserving of a relaunch. I hope we get a cartoon/comic or some other kind of media tie in also. Thanks for posting those pics, this line is going to be incredible, even if those figures are the only ones they do!

These are not Battle Beasts but a line inspired by BB. Think of it as MOTUC meets Thundercats meets Battle beasts. There is a story behind them but no cartoon or tie in as it's a small company and Jon Karis of LRG doing them. You can help fund trhe project by pledging through kickstarter. There are different pledge levels that gets you different things. Check it out!

They will look like the taller leaner figures. The squat BB looking figure was their original idea but decided to go with the leaner figures. The squat BB figure is being made because so many fans liked it.

I'm tempted with this offer but does anyone know if free shipping comes with a pledge?

I believe you don't have to pay shipping. Just the pledge.

I'm assuming they come unpainted? Those paint jobs took hours I'm sure.

Some of the figures will be painted while some will come unpainted. The choice of which you will receive (or both) is left up to the person that makes the pledge An exclusive gold armored lion figure has been added as a free bonus for pledges above a certain level! : /posts If Series 1 meets its goal we will see more of both body styles (lean and squat) i'm sure. BTW....there is a rumor that a comic book may be released.

Ooh! I'd not heard of this, it looks cool! I wish we could see actual sculpts though, and I'm a bit surprised that they are not more squat. I think i'll be backing this, especially with that Gold Lion incentive.
Thanks for posting this Da18th!

I have seriously been considering collecting this line as I'm a huge Battle Beast fan and smaller PVC figures in general.

Well the only way to get them is to pledge at the Kickstarter site for Series 1 of Rise of The Beasts! If series 1 is funded Kickstarter wont be used for Series 2 and beyond

The Kickstarter ,if funded , will allow Plastic !magination to release all 4 Series 1 figures at once & allow Series 2 onward to be released without Kickstarter.
If the Kickstarter doesn't fund then , unfortunately , they will be released individually at a slower pace.

We're in the home stretch and very close to the goal! If your sitting on the fence you could be the person to make this a reality

Wow! We shattered $14,000 level! That means that everyone who has pledged at the $45 level or higher will also receive a free Series 2 figure with their pledge rewards.
Let's shoot for $17,000 next!
If $17,000 goal is achieved , not only will we be able to add in a SECOND Series 2 figure to those at the $45 level or higher, but we will also add in the BONUS Gold Lion to everyone who is at the $30 level.
Let's keep this momentum going!!!! Thank you to EVERYONE that has contributed and those of you who havent yet there is still time to get on board !!!

well they have been making the large Romando MUSCLE (actually Kinnikuman) figures in Japan for almost ten years now.
These Battle Beast figures look nuts and Id definitely purchase every single one. Four Words if this happens. "mail order Stone Cobra" wouldnt even need to paint him, just swirl gray and black plastic together.
