Hello everyone. I'm new to the boards and wanted to say hi. I've been collecting for a number of years now, mostly He-Man and Transformers, but lately I've become interested in some of the more obscure 80's lines, which brings me to my topic: Anyone know anything about Air Raiders? I recently purchased a couple of vehicles that came with all of the paperwork(catalogs, etc.) and now I'm hooked. I need more information though. I haven't very much on the web. Anyone know anything about these? Were there any unproduced items, prototypes, etc? And does anyone know where to buy these other than ebay? Also, it appears there was a mail away kit that came with the emporer and a baron and a whole bunch of missles and a relief map of Airlandia! How cool is that! Any info would be great!

Welcome to the boards Erisk. I have a few boxed vehicles myself, but other than what was pictured on the catalogs, I don't know if there were any unproduced items. I noticed even on Ebay that there isn't allot of Air Raiders stuff. i don't think they are to high on collecors lists (yet!) so people tend to ignore them. personally I really like the line and wouldn't mind picking up the rest of the vehicles.

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry about putting this in the wrong forum. This is a great board! It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who remebers some of this stuff. It is a great line. I kind of feel like it's part of the trilogy of lines including Inhumanoids and Visionaries that were really cool, but just never got anywhere. If you would like some pictures or scans of the stuff I have for your guide I would be more than happy to help!

I have the Thunderhammer complete with box, Thunderclaw complete with box and a Storm Dagger complete with box. If you want I can send pics of the vhicles, boxes and scans of the instructions, catalogs, mail-away offers and decals. And I would be very interested in the Wind Seeker. Let me know a price.

I don't think the Air Refinery was ever made. I think it was only shown in the catalogs that came with the figures. here is a site i found with the scans of the catalogs and some info: airraiders1987.tripod.com/id6.html

What a great site. I guess it's about as comprehensive a site as you can get with such a small toy line. It also answers the question of whether the Air Refinery got produced or not. I wish there was more to this line. It was such a great idea.

I've been looking out for these for awhile now and it is surprising how few surface on Ebay. I guess it just isn't a widely popular line. Anyone have any more info on the unproduced vehicles?

I've been on the lookout non-stop for weeks now, and very little shows up. If anyone sees anything, let me know. And any info on unproduced items would be awsome.

Just checking to see if anyone around here as ever seen the Air Refinery up on ebay or anywhere since this thread was active. I've got pretty much a complete set now minus the Air refinery and the mail-away. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't spinning my wheels looking for this.

I have never seen the refinery. Only seen the man o war and the mail in set once. They are the only bits I need to finish the line

Hi everyone! This thread brought me to the site.
I've spent years of my life searching for the Emperor Aerozar and Baron Jolt figures for the Air Raiders mail in kit, and have never been able to find them or even pictures of them.
That Air Raiders site that was posted above seems to be down right now, so I have no idea if they have pix on there. Anyone know anything about that?

one thing i always wondered about this toy line was how come they never had a cartoon, the only reason i bought this was because they look small so i thought hey could look cool next to the M.A.S.K. toys. they are vey small but not micro machine
