Want to know what battles you had with your figures as a kid. I would have New Adventures of He-Man, Terminator 2, Ghostbusters and Super Mario Bros (movie) figures wrestle against my Galoob and Hasbro figures. Cobra and the Empire would team up against D&D, Ewoks and Dreadknocks. Air Raiders vs Starcom. Robocop and Bionic Six against any villainous figures i had, Robocop villains, Bionic Six villains and the Dreadknocks. Mask and Dino Riders against the Transformers.
So what ways did you guys innovate and use your imaginations?

I was mostly into Star Wars as a kid, but my Legos and cardboard boxes made up allot of the bases, Sarlac pit, etc. Did have a few Buck Rogers, Metal Men and Clash of the Titans figures as well, though they were usually the first casualties of war.

When playing with my Star Wars guys the Rebels always lost. G.I. Joe vs. Transformers was always a fun way to spend the afternoon too.

My MOTU figures had countless wrestling Battle Royales with some of my other figures (Lost World of the Warlord, MEGO, Blackstar). Arak won the belt numerous times.

Great tread idea!
For me it was usually Smurf that were the little Hobbit like Hero, aided by some friendly Masters of the Universe and Star Wars figure that went to battle against Skeletor and a bunch of Sectaurs, Other World and AD&D baddies.
To my defense as a French Canadian guy I knew Smurf before the cartoon in their comic incarnation, where the whole fantasy aspect was less toned down and featured a lot of knights and monsters!

Nice pics!
The big thing for me used to always be playing in the water with figures. I used to love to take a He-Man figure or a Joe and freeze them inside a cup of water and then pretend they were trapped in ice and have the other figures try to break them out.
Another thing we used to always do was set one of the bases on the edge of the bathtub full of water and have all the figures fighting and knocking each other into the water. I used to mix up all the figures, it never mattered who was fighting who.

I used to battle my z-bots against my Star Wars action figures with my brother. We came up with all kinds of love stories, fights, and weird plot twists. I remember one where Pincess Leia married Jabba the Hut. I wonder if anyone has any z-bots for sale?

One of my favorite battles was taking the wooden boards out the bottom end of my bed then pushing the matress down so it was a slope. Then i would place Castle Greyskull at the edge of the top of the slope then using the Door of castle Greyskull like an execution area above the slope (the slope represented the Sarlacc Pit) The Star Wars figures from Jabba's Palace would then fight GI Joes, Star Wars rebels and D&D guys. Also Transformers, GoBots, Rock Lords and Inhumanoids would battle against Mask and Dino-Riders in Battles on a New Earth Colony on a Robot planet. Another favorite of mine and my step brothers was to have GI Joes wrestle in the WCW Galoob ring. The fun of catapulting Joes off the spring loaded steps was hilarious.

Love the pics Gort, looks like total carnage! Did you have to group all the plants in the house together for that battle scene?

the best thing we did was take playmobile people and pull their hair off and they became zombies. By the way playmobile people fit into M.A.S.K. vehicles and they can hold Transformer weapons. We also used to get skull rings from our dentist and they were they able to fit over the faces of the playmobile and made them skeleton warriors, cause they could hold he-man weapons. He-man would wrastle, Buzz-off was champion with mer-man always wanting the belt. sort of the macho-man vs.george the animal steele, with teela as the lovely Elizabeth!!! Oooh yeah, can you dig it!!!!
