Ah man, I went to a flea market today... came across some small, I mean really tiny Transformers mixed in with some hotwheels and other small toys...
and I passed on 'em.
Came home, looked them up to my best ability and discovered they were Transformers Armada mini-cons. DOH!
I had not collected these guys, but in the past had picked up some Transformers from the Armada series.... man, I wish I was thinking clearly at the time.
Has this ever happened to you? Regrets on passing by something that you can then not go back and get?
Best to let it go... but the nice thing is that now I know... and we all realize that knowing is half the battle....

The summer I started re-collecting, I went to a garage sale and a kid had about 15 mini-cons for 25 cents apiece. I passed on them, I wish I hadn't now. I don't pass up on much now. (You're stuff's on the way!)

I have had plenty of moments in the past where I was embarrassed regarding my wayward toy collecting days... now, when someone goes "you collect toys?" My response is to stare at em and go... "yeah?". I don't care what any body says... teen years are rough, especially for the transitional period into adulthood and what is deemed to be placed expectations.

Occasionally, I miss something that I figure out later, but I haven't rarely made a BIG loss. Not much into mini-cons, just the G1 stuff and older.
Money NOT spent as well.

Oh TOTALLY! And, I ll take it one step further... I ve been looking every where for Transformers Universe Deluxe Hound w/ Ravage... After passing these up in stores a while back, and not thinking twice... and now, no luck... and this toy just came out last year!
I started looking on ebay, and even online stores... finally, I came to my senses and went to the Hasbro store and saw him! I was so happy! There is a weird emotional feeling that happens over these toys... at least for me. Part nostalgia, but also pure enjoyment of the item, as well definitely the hunt.
Another sad event was the ill fate of my stretch monster, and to this day still hold a grudge to what happened... and that, is another story.
Others feel the same about what has compelled you to collect, or thoughts towards the one that got away?

It was my fault. I gave him a bunch of crap to sell as he was collecting for charity and left Goose and Doc in a bag with them

I gave him a bunch of crap to sell as he was collecting for charity and left Goose and Doc in a bag with them I hear that , I think I threw a few figures away in boxes with packing material in them. I used to mock my neighbor for running his hands through the packing peanuts and opening up all the pieces of paper b4 tossing the box . Now I go as far as lifting the flaps, flattening the boxes the whole deal.

I thought I was the only one who double checked all materials before shipping! That's too funny.
Years ago, when i was doing this trading... The guy accidentally put in a Micronauts Pharoid with my shipped 24" Mazinga. I did the right thing and emailed him the situation, and he was kind enough and said for me to just keep it! Score! I had been wanting to get Pharoid in his sarcophagus, so that totallly made my day!
I dunno, when I was a little kid I used to think that the toys would always be there... so that if you came back a few weeks later... you would still be able to choose and get what you wanted. Boy, I was a dumb kid. But seriously, growing up in an age where any time you went to the toy store there were Star Wars figures there... how could you not think they were not accessible? I learned very quickly toy stores change....

I passed on a USS Flagg at a yard sale for $9 once. It had to be at least 10 years ago. It needed a good cleaning, that's why I passed....I regret it to this day.
