I usually had the price stickers right off the box asap. Although i have a copy of 1408 on DVD and it had a couple of stickers on it. As i took them off one by one the last sticker had the dvd priced at $334.04 which made me laugh so much that the price tag is still on it.

It depends on where the sticker is. If it's on a location where say the picture of the character is on the card then I would leave it. But if it on the bubble over the figure inside then yes, remove it.
example: I bought a MOC Indiana Jones Toth for 8 bucks. The problem was that whoever put the sticker on, back in the day, put it right over the face of toth on the card. I attempted to remove it, and yet it ripped somewhat. They couldn't put the sticker somewhere in a corner, where it would obscure the logo or something. but no, they put it right over the character's face. of all place. I would love to find whoever did this and place a sticker over their face!!!

For new stuff I get rid of them, but just like megocentral1I like to keep them on vintage stuff.

I don't collect MOC/MIP items but I think it is kinda neat seeing price stickers on vintage items from stores that no longer exist. However, when it gets in the way of seeing the product it shows you whomever put the sticker on that way isn't too bright. Case in point: I was recently at a Hastings store and they had got in some of the new retro cloth Star Trek figures in with Khan,Mugato, and Uhura. I'm an opener so when I buy new figures the main thing I look at is the paint job on the face. Some Einstein had put the price stickers on the retro cloth figures right over their faces so there was no way to see them. The person that did that either has no concept of collecting, or common sense.

Hmmm interesting topic. I guess as a kid if I was lucky enough to get the toy I didn't care where the sticker was at. I would grab one then tear it open as soon as my mom bought it. Now I collect, so I agree that to enjoy a carded figure the sticker over a head or logo does distract from the artwork. I actually like the stickers. Especially if they are from stores I distinctively remember getting items from. I have a lot from Toys'r'us and Kaybee. Also I have some Vintage Jedi with Target and Longs drugs store tags affixed. Adds to the warm feelings of the past. -Nick

I actually like the look of old price stickers. It's all about nostalgia for me. Walking back in time...

Ado, often, they have sticker from american store I never went to (I'm Canadian), but it's fun to have the original price tag and value.

I have an issue with price stickers only if they are on the front of the package or covering the box art or figure itself. I have a vintage MOTU Slime Pit as well as Modulok MIB that have the prices on them only because they are in inconspicuous spots. It adds character.

im a loose collector but i kind of always think price stickers are cool, especially if they do have the store name or even some sort of date stamp.

for my motu stuff i can't have any price tags. for the other lines i collect, i don't mind if there's a price tag as long as it's not in a bad spot.

I like have old price stickers from companies of the past, gives a litte history of the toy. It also assures buyers they are buying an original. I don't like 4 or five stickers from markdowns and clearance items.
