Everyone should own at least one of McFarlane's figures. His characters are awesome and the details in the figures are just sick. He's done something to appeal to everyone - music, horror, movies, fantasy, etc.
On top of that, you can pick these things up for practically nothing at flea markets and yard sales.

Yeah Prime is actually a farely constant occuring bot whenever I buy G1 stuff. At the end of a year, I might have ended up with 3-5 primes just from buying different lots on ebay. I like the mold, but I always thought it was too small. I honestly remember the day I got him in the mail and he was SOOO small compared to what I thought his size was. My first TF's were scattershot and roadbuster, so I was spoiled in terms of robot size.

Guess I'm a little older than the MOTU crowd; but I would have to say and original 3 3/4" Chewbaca (or Stormtrooper).

Cosign G1 Optimus, that was my first thought when I saw this thread.. Also He Man and Skeletor and Luke and Vader for Star Wars.

Imperial 1983 Evil Pegasus! evil pegasus IS awesome! i may have to hunt for that. but, as for a toy everyone should own, i partially agree. my agreement is this: imperial monsters of any kind.... there has to be some bit of nostalgia for every collector in the realms of big rubber monsters. and these things are just plain awesome. crazy/obscure sculpts. the paint spray fashion. granted, when it comes to monster toys, i fall more into the categories of marmit, b-club, bullmark, etc. but i will always have a spot in my heart, and on my shelves, for imperial...

Let's get greedy then. We'll take two of those. One of each. Missed a black one the other day on eBay. Went for $20US or something like that.

I have to say an original He-Man & Skeletor, Snakeeyes (v1 or 2) and probably the original Darth Vader, but most of all everyone should own an original Stormtrooper!!

Thinking objectively, R2D2 or Yoda in any way, shape or form, from any era. I mean we're talking about EVERYONE here, won't somebody think of the children? (guess nows a good time to confess I don't have a Yoda...)

Yoda is fine for children, but just don't give them Jar Jar, or they might end up like him!

That evil pegasus is very nice, I have to say... I would say any 3 3/4" G.i. joe if you lived in a cave as a child. They were so fully poseable that they were A1 for imaginary fight sequences. I still do it to this day lol.
