I know its probably one of the simplest figures ever, but I still love the swivel arm Snake-eyes. Plain black , no paint what so ever but he's a cool figure. I couldn't pass him up at the flea market or yard sales even before collecting had gotten really popular. My second is the Fisher Price Adventure Robot man. Do not even own one but he is also one I've always liked.

It's not original at all, but my two favorite figures, as a kid and as an adult are Skeletor and the Zealot Zebra battle beasts

This is such a hard question! My wife has been trying to help me with it since the thread was started and I have only narrowed it down to 1 figure from each series I have ever started to collect, so far, and for those who know me that is still a lot of freakin figures!
You could ask me what is my favorite Horror Icon - Lon Chaney Jr.'s Wolfman -favorite Movie - NOTLD -favorite Comic Book character - Green Lantern (Hal or John Stewart specifically) -favorite book - Brooks' World War Z heck even my favorite position, but favorite figure is not easy at all!!!!!!!!!!!
I will have to plea the Clambo answer and come back to it also.

Id have to agree with Meaty myself (although Snake Eyes or Stalker in swivel arm version would be fine). The simplicity, size and articulation make it the best all around figure imo.

The newest one I have! Seriously though, I think it may be Trap-Jaw for me. He looks like a Pirate, and the weapons are cool. And he looks decent being all MOTU-squatty, not like other He-Men who look constipated. Or maybe I like Ace McCloud, what with all the parts....

Thats a really hard one. For some reason I really like Wingnut from TMNT, but there is just so many. Condor Vehicle from MASK and Soundwave from Transformers are also well up there.

Man, the more I think about it, you may be right. His coolness lies in his simplicity. Snakeyes has had some pretty ugly versions, IMO, but if you don't have a Dollar Store Valor vs. Venom, you should get one. I think he's the next best thing to version 1. And for $2, you can't miss.

Honorable mention goes to the original He-Man, Bespin Han Solo & Indiana Jones from the 'Adventures of Indiana Jones' line. I'll go with the original He-Man / Battle-Cat combo on my part... Never since a kid toys have been so manly! Honorable mention to Warduke, Rambo and the vintage 12" C3PO.

I could probably narrow it down to about ten that would be on par with each other in my mind which would include figures like Gamorrean Guard, Warbow, Pocket Heroes Spiderman, and others, but if any figure could edge the rest out just by a hair it would be vintage Yoda. Gotta love those ears and that expression. Also, I think in general I have a soft spot for the little guys (like Monchichi Knickerbocker Frodo, Pudgy Samwise, Wicket, Old B.O.B., and R2).

To narrow it down to one figure is difficult. I like wrestling figures but even then there are figures from various lines and companies that have always drawn me to them. Also growing up in the era of he-Man, Thundercats, Star wars, M.A.S.K. and other shows that had figures makes it difficult to pick just one.
For sentimental value i pick Karati from new Adventures of he-Man as he has been with me for 20 years now and travelled the world with me. For cool figure i would pick WCW Galoob Dustin Rhodes as it just looks really cool and has a great paintjob (specially his boots) For nostalgia D&D Elkhorn takes me back to being a kid. For the fun aspect and how many adventures i played with this figure in i'd pick Lando in Disguise from Jabba's Palace from the vintage Star Wars line.
There are so many variables when trying to decide on just one figure.

Geez, what a question. Here's 4 that come to mind in no particular order:
Horgg the Dismantler from Stan Winstons Mutant Earth series (had to track him down here.) He's our workshop mascot at the office now.
Leech Staction (I loved it as soon as I saw it, I paid a -fortune- to get it to SA. I've sold all my MOTU stuff except him. He's priceless!
25th Edition GI JOE Croc Master. One of the greatest remakes of a figure ever I think. It converted haters of the original figure. The one time I want to get another one just to keep in the packaging.
Big Rex. My beloved Godzilla knockoff, he finally broke after a -lot- of playtime. (His leg fell off.) Still looking to track one down. I got him for Christmas when I was about 7 or 8
I suppose Big Rex would be number one. It was a great Christmas and I've got a lot of fond memories of that guy.

My favourite figure would have to be Nepos from the Lords of Light line. Toriac and Topen are close seconds though. Never liked the Emperor lol.

Charbroil was my favourite GI Joe figure for years. I can't remember exactly why, because I've never heard anyone else say he was their favourite. I know his card art stood out straight away- it was awsome. A year later I got the NF version and in recent years I got the AVTF and ROC versions. Before GI Joe though I used to love my SW Greedo, AD&D Warduke and AF SAS Eagle figures.

I agree that the joe cards made you like characters waaay more after you read them. It's very hard to pick just one but I always loved the Lords of Light figures. It's just a shame they didn't hold up to play very well. I only had them for a short while (a year maybe?). My favourite was Nepos (I've always had a thing for bugs tbh).

Boy, that's a tough one. I guess right now, it would be my AD&D Mandoom figure. Just love the way he looks, and the fact that unlike some of the other AD&D figures, his helmet actually stays on his head and his weapons actually lock into his hand. I also love how Bowmarc looks. Vintage Star Wars Boba Fett and Greedo both get honorable mentions as well. As far as newer figures, probably the JLU Lobo.

My favorite figure of all time would have to be Headbanger from Toxic Crusaders. He has so many cool, gross features going on and amazing colors.

I have to say the Gandalf from Toy Vault. Of course it would be hard for me to decide WHICH Gandalf because I have 3 of them . I like Orko a lot too. What draws me? Hmm... I guess wizards in general. Characters that wear robes . Just appeals to me.
