Not counting vehicles & playsets, what figure lines have you completed? Of course there may be a few figures I want to upgrade. Mine are:
Buck Rogers Battlestar Galactica Super Powers Crystar Voltron (need a few weapons) Flash Gordon (missing 1 gun)
There are a bunch that I am only 1 or 2 figures (and a few weapons) away from completing.
Star Wars (only need Blue Snaggletooth and a few weapons) Thundercats (need Stinger, Berbil Bill and a few weapons) Robotech (need the large Miriya and a few weapons) Secret Wars (need Constricor & Electro) AD&D (need Deeth , Mandoom and a few weapons) Captain Power (need Stingray Johnston and a few weapons) Silverhawks (need Quicksilver Ultrasonic and a few weapons)

you know i dont really know. im far too picky these days to complete lines. i used to be a completist but i end up with too many pieces that i could carless about. i used to have a complete 82-92 run of gijoe but i sold all the guys i hated. same for transformers. i focus too deeply on knockoffs

:)When your a Transformer collector, they usually take up all your money and space for anything else. I know what it is like (only collect G1 though).

THUNDERCATS!! ;D I have all figures complete (Stinger and Driller MOC), about 3 or 4 vehicles (including a complete Thundertank), some accessories like transporters and energy packs. What I miss the most is Cats' Lair I'm just not financially ready to spend $400.00 on it!

I've been collecting since 1995, and I have only 2 lines complete: Star Wars: Power of the Force 2 Super Powers (missing a couple of accessories) Only missing a couple of pieces for the Episode I Star Wars line. My problem is display space. I MUST have everythng out to view. Couple that with me liking newer toys to much, and completing vintage lines like I originally intended, becomes nearly impossible. But the trade off in my vintage goals is ok, because I enjoy the diversity of my collection. From Darth Vader, to Cap'N Crunch, I love all my little pieces of art

I'm now one figure away from completing Crystar, one away from completing Captain Power, one away from completing Infaceables(once I get my latest purchase in the mail) and a few short for Blackstar.

I need Tiamat to complete my D&D collection (& a few weapons)
I have every mold of the US released GI Joe figures (33/4" that is, & some of the forigen releases),,,I just need some of the color variations. & I'm on my way with the vehicles as well.

There are so many lines i am so close to completing. it seems that to get the few figures i am missing i have to buy a "lot" with them included then sell or trade off the rest. I usually try going the damaged MOC route, but things have been scarce lately. I just can't bring myself to pay some retarded price for a figure i know is worth 1/4 of what it has sold for on Ebay lately.

I just got the last figure I needed from the Dark Crystal vintage miniatures set. They are the only production vintage Dark Crystal toys and they are really tough to find. I had to get pretty hardcore to find the bulk of them. I put out want ads in several appropriate forums, I scoured the internet, and had at least 5 really good saved ebay searches going. At first, the only ones that I found where I thought the guy might sell was on an old post on the muppets forum where a guy found some in his attic and was debating selling them. I emailed him but never heard back. I eventually found all but one of them by pulling a pretty sweat move -- what I did was google site search all of the miniature forums and found an old classified post from a couple years back on theminiaturespage. I contacted the guy he said yeah I'll sell them to you we'll work something out, then I contacted him again a couple times more but didn't hear back from him. Finally, about a month later he got back to me and we worked out the deal. And then about a week ago I received Aughra in the mail from an ebay purchase. She was the last figure I needed. In my six months of looking via google and ebay the only figures I saw for purchase was that set minus one that I bought, a gold painted or electroplated Aughra, the Aughra that I bought, and a solo skeksis that I bought. I'm stoked to have the whole set. They're beautiful and if I strike it rich I might have them professionaly painted someday. I'm actually missing a table that's part of the set, but that's fine, to me having all of the figures of characters is complete.
As for being content with my collection as a whole, I just found another grail of mine that I was confident would eventually come up, everything else left that I want is either common enough that I can put off buying it or so rare that I'm not getting my hopes up on ever finding it, so I could definitely go a long time without buying anything more. Anytime that I see something that I want I add it to a list I have, that way I don't forget about it and I can put off buying it until the price is right and I have the spare cash. That list is growing a lot faster than I'm buying.

Yep, both my MUSCLE and vintage SW figures sets. But there's no rush, it'll be kind of sad when I hit the finish line - a bit bittersweet. The bigger challenge for me is deciding whether I should open some beater MOC’s to add the figures to my loose collection (which just seems sacrilegious to me) or try and sell the MOC’s and buy loose ones – but it breaks my heart thinking someone might just open the beater anyways. Opening the MOC’s would basically finish my set – which my 22 month old son LOVES looking at, take a look:

Muscle, that's a magnificant display case. From what i can tell from the picture the shelves are recessed into the wall, between the studs i believe. Excellent idea and it doesn't take room out of the room. Nice trim too. Sal

I think that's an IKEA "floating " case Sal. They are awesome and great for displaying figures in. Usually getting glass cut is needed as they only give you a few shelves but awesome non the less.

Holy crap, is that a Vlix I see on the second from the bottom shelf!? If I were you, I would put him on the top shelf! You don't want your 22 month old getting a hold of that guy! Awesome display Muscle.

You are 100% correct. I simply went to a glass shop and had the extra pieces cut. I think it was about 15 bucks - total. Plus a few specialty screws from a local hardware store that worked perfectly to rest the glass shelves on. The Vlix, Screed, and Gaff (plus one more not pictured - I'm having a total mind fart and can't think of the name) are AMAZING customs from a friend of mine. I've seen plenty of repos, customs, etc. but honestly these border on being the real thing.

You cant go wrong on the prices or the selection on IKEA. they should really get into maybe doing a collectors series of shelving. The only problem with some of the larger glass pieces is the gaps on the glass lets dust in.

ive been 1 figure away from completting probably 10 or 12 lines for awhile. theres always one figure that just goes for TOO much or just never ever seems to show up to even get a shot at.

Its always the obscure lines that are the hardest. All the big lines have rare stuff that costs, but its not a massive hunt. Its the lines that nobody collects that are the hardest to finish off for me

i'm actually finished with Silverhawks i think now, the only other real thing i could look for is a missle for sky runner, but that's really rare. maybe some misc merchandise but i love completing it but i have always wished there were more of them. i wont be selling them or my thundercats ever though. they are my most favorite possessions. i'm actually getting quite close to finishing off the thundercats, with most of the rare items out of hte way and only a couple handfuls of common things to purchase. i'm looking for my next line every day. there's a lot of them i'm interested in but i just cant beat the toys that i used to collect as a kid 20 years ago. good luck to all and happy hunting!
