do you prefer good over evil? i prefer evil! i say this because bad guys and there vehicles and bases are always cooler and i find that good guys are more professional and respectable and bad guys are always crazy and rebellious looking most of my collection consists of bad guy's decepticons, cobra etc. how do you collect toys? by line, by favorites by memories etc. i collect favorites and mostly bad guys my all time fav is... can you guess?

As a rule the evil figures were always the coolest, especially as a kid. I remember getting my first ESB figure (think it was Hoth Han, before the film was released) and seeing Bossk on the cardback Getting him was suddenly the most important thing in the world to me Some exceptions to the rule out there, but generally evil rocked

I prefer the bad guys, they are always cooler looking than the good guys. Cobra, Stormtroopers, Mumm-Ra, Skeletor, ect ect.

For most of the line I preffered the evil character as a whole. I always liked the hero, but after him I needed a good amount of bad guys so he would have a nice challenge. He-Man just wasn't He-Man with only one bad guy to beat, bring in the whole Skeletor bunch!
As a kid I always liked better the line where they're was more villains than hero. Guess it's why I liked Playmate Dick Tracy so much: only two cops agains't the whole gangster group!

It was alot more fun to be the bad guys...they could do all the things you wanted to do to 'certain' kids that bugged me in my childhood. It was almost like venting with toys. I did always seem to have good triumph over evil in the end but the price was pretty high for the good guys to win!

Bad guys too they just look cooler and I am really interested in why they turn their genius to the dark side.

Most lines follow a human good guys vs. more monstrous bad guys, look at He Man def. way cooler baddies because I love the varied monsters.

Interesting question, never really thought about it.
I'd probably have to say good guys however. Predominately because they tend to get the most exposure (ie: in an associated cartoon).
However typically bad guys get the cooler colour schemes - blacks, purples and reds - plus they tend to have more outlandish designs, which helps the overall 'cool' factor.

I can`t think of any 80`s toy lines that had cooler good guys than bad.
With 90`s stuff there is a few, Mummies Alive springs to mind, but still Captain Planet, Biker Mice, etc all have cooler bad guy toys

"He's no good to me dead." "You have not heard the last of Baltar!" "At last we will have our revenge." "I have been waiting for you, Obi-Wan." "You may fire when ready." "Those Dang Duke boys." "Speak, Centurion." "By your command." "Why so serious?"
It seems like the villans have the best lines.

I'd have to go with bad guys too. Nothing like seeing the Joker, Lizard and Green Goblin in action figure form. Gotta love the bad guys.

After collecting more random lines, the bad guys are better by far. When they are created I think the "good guys" are basic as they have more screen time so they make them easy to animate. The bad guys always have more detail, so I guess thats why they aren`t in every show

yeah i would have to vote for the bad guys too- for me they are always the more interesting characters, their motivations are a little more complicated.
for me toys of villains seem to always be a little more edgy, and a little more imaginative.

Bad guys, definetly. The ones I want the most are bad guys, at least. I mean think about it, they're the best ones: Dr. Doom, Parallax, Sinestro, Cyborg Superman, Doomsday Thanos, Darkeid, Skeletor, Cobra Commander, Joker, Venom, Green Goblin...
