ive been trying to get a decent example of a particular mego figure on ebay, i have bought over the last 4 weeks, 10 identical figures all the same- all described as mint- and how many of them did not have the feet broken when they arrived?
one.
one! only one seller described his item accurately, all of the other s had one or both feet badly cracked or in 2 parts- now i know this is common but they were described as mint- one seller even said feet perfect- the foot fell in half when i took the boot off, 4 of them also had broken elboes, one had a broken elboe, no pin in the knee joint,2 broken feet, no paint on his head,a thumb missing.....
(somehow the angle and position of the figure in his photo managed to hide all of this)
yeah i know ebay has a resolution process, so you email the seller and he takes a coule of days to reply -yeah of course hes been on holiday - of course he has tuesday to thursday in december everyone goes on vacation...anyway when you open the dispute the seller usually takes the full 10 days to reply and then refuses to refund- more often than not, and then if he does you have to return the item by tracked post which costs half the price of the item and you dont get the postage back.....
so im wondering what is it with people- why could only one seller describe the item as mint and be right- i mean im not being picky but if the seller says hands and feet perfect- and theyre not, i want my money back- one seller summed it up with this attitude
i complained that his figure was described as mint and he specificaly stated that the feet on the figure were finethis is what he said to me when i complained-
well it is 30 years old, its not going to be perfect.
but you said it was man!
anyone else sick of this?
