Do you collect everything GI Joe, collect just the figures, collect toys only up to or from a certain year, or what? I stop at around 1990 for vehicles and about 1992 for figures. Also, how did you acquire most of your collection? My entire collection is from buying other peoples childhood collections or trading for what I need. I don't really go out and buy any Joe stuff on Ebay or individually (to many other lines to spend my money on).

i only collect figures i like and near to no vehicles at all i have the black and yellow action force vamp that came with snakeeyes, the india exclusive police vamp and stock vamp, dreadnok ground assualt, dreadnok stun, 2 crimson hiss tanks, a stun and a hiss. i dont buy nearly any joes online. the last joe i bought online was an india tripwire like 2 years ago maybe longer. i will be buying the cobra trooper night squad set . ive built my collection slowly and cheaply over the years picking up broken figs and piecing them together fleamarkets have helped alot last time i was out in arizona i picked up a complete mint loose set of night force for 2 bux a piece. also working at a vintage toys store for years helps too ;D

Collecting Joes launched me back into the toy collecting hobby. I used Ebay,Antique malls, comic shops, friends & any other source that I could find to help rebuild my Joe collection. At first, I just wanted the figures that I had as a kid. Then I wanted some of the figures that I always wanted as a kid, then the new figures, then I got into the vehicles...then the dreaded armybuilding bug bit me (I blame this on playing warhammer 40k! ) Well, to sum it up, I have over 3000 Joe figures & over 400 vehicles (including the Flagg, 2 Terrordromes,The defiant launch complex, I also have 15 of the vintage 12" Joes from the 60's & 70's. GI Joe is the main focus of my collecting but I still have tons of other stuff & collect many different lines.

I mostly focus on figures new or old. I really want o get the 80's figs. from when I was a kid. I just dont hae the resouces at this time, but I have started to collect what I like mor ethan anything. I have a few posters/ comics/ books/ mailaways/ paper work etc.... I have bought most of my figs. at stores and online. I did have a good amount from my childhood to start me in truly collecting gi joes.

Ive actually built up a nice collection of joes. Basically just figures. I have one of each, from each year up to 1988 with the exception of a few from 88 im still needing. Ive put together a set of straight and swivel arms, most of the figure variants, and most of the expensive figures such as all versions of Steel Brigade except A, all versions of Starduster except A, Heavy Metal with mic, Hardtop with mic and gun, Payload, Gold Head Steel Brigade....I just recieved my Convention Jinx with the blue logo yesterday and its awsome. I would say ive done ok in the last year. Dave

I live in St Louis, and I am just not able to find much here. I am forced to use Ebay as much as possible. Mostly, I just buy lots and try to piece things together. I've done pretty well. I'm moving to a very small town in Northern Minnesota, so Ebay will be it, once I get up there. unless I can get out to a big "con" of some sort. I buy directly sometimes from online toy stores also, but mostly everything is from Ebay. I collect mainly figures & vehicles up to 86. I might get some figures i really like from later years, but up through 86 is all I really want.

I pretty much just get what ever I like. I've bought a lot off ebay and comic shops (Just scored a fairly good haul at my comic shop today, they let me dig through the boxes in the back ) Every once in a while I'll run across someone who has Joes from their childhood and I'll get them from the person., but I'd have to say most my collection has come from trading online the past few years
