I wish I would have, but I was scammed. lol. I luckily got my money back though. I paid the guy and he sent me a chunk of metal in the mail. I was pretty upset. lol. Anyway, I got my money back. I really wanted them though. wow that cant be for real??? metal??? if you got that package how did you get the money back? i thought if you could prove that you sent the package you were ok? ??? ??? He could probably prove that he didn't get the items, but metal instead. Btw, I might have missed it but what was the sellers name, might be a good idea to hang him out in the "bad sellers" section.

I don't see how you would prove that, he could say he sent it and you had that piece of metal. I saw a case on Peoples Court once where the guy sent a brick instead of a DVD player or something like that. He tried to say the post office did it, the judge was like "why would someone in the post office steal it and then REPLACE it with a brick? They would just steal it flat out". If the person has multiple claims filed against him, I can understand how Paypal would side in your favorite, but this is bizarre. You got really lucky.

Yea there is no way to prove that you didn't get something from a buyer's standpoint. It would just be your word against his and if he has proof he sent something, the evidence is in his favor. Glad to hear that you got your money back so at least no financial harm came to you. Enough supposition from us, jesuslove, we need a more detailed explanation lol! More importantly though, I want to see a picture of the hunk of metal .

Well, I paid him through paypal, He actually sent me a money request and buyers arent protected through those and I knew that so I just sent him the money directly. I get the piece of metal and call him, but he won't answer. So, I call him constantly and let it ring for three minutes each. lol. He finally realizes Im not going to leave him alone and he refunds me the money. I did get to talk to him, but everything he said was lies.
I am dissapointed about not getting them, but Im glad I got my money back.

He thought he was smart because he thought since he sent me a package that I couldn't prove that I didn't get what I paid for. Since I sent him the money how I did, I specified on the payment what it was for. So, if he didn't refund me the money, I couldve filed a claim and there is a claim on paypal where if you buy something and the product isn't correct. He had no choice though because I was covered on paypal in everyway.
He was a guy through craigslist in Fresno, CA. His name was Peter, but the funny thing is. I have a friend in Fresno that I trust. I get him to call about the figure after I got my money back and all. So my friend calls him and "peter" says his name is larry and refuses to meet my friend in a public place. Says he only takes paypal. SKETCHY!!!! lol

Oh, I just looked for the piece of metal, but it was one of though thin wrenches you get when you buy something that needs assembled. lol. I probably threw it away after I got my money, but if I find it, I will take a picture. lol

Thanks for the explanation jesuslove10 . At the very least you have one heck of a story to tell people . Sounds like you handled it correctly and didn't play the victim. Good for you!

Laser power He-man/Laser light Skeletor scam? I think this same thing just happened to me on eBay. The auction was for LP He-man and LL Skeletor. The seller said his dad bought them for him when overseas and he needs money so he was selling them for $450 for the pair. I was a bit skeptical but figured if anything went wrong I would be covered by eBay buyer protection. After the purchase I got a message from the seller saying that he made a mistake and they were supposed to be listed at $450 each and if I want both I can pay for the other one with a money through PayPal. I said I will agree to that thinking it is still a great deal but need extra time to pay the rest. Luckily I didn't send it yet because two days ago I received a hunk of metal in the mail from him. He explained that he must have sent it by accident because he also sells parts for tvs and he will send my order today. I thought it was odd but not rediculous...until I happened to run across this thread. The similarities are too much considering that the package was sent from Fresno, CA. I sent him a message today sayin I will pay the rest after I receive my order the way it was described. He replied saying that's fine and he will provide me with a new tracking number when he sends it out today. I am not holding my breath about receiving these but still hopeful. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this and also to give everyone a heads up just in case. His eBay username is winj4188. I'm just glad I didn't send the other payment yet because that wouldn't be covered by eBay. Phew

Good point. It has only been about 8 days now so if I don't receive it in the next 7-10 days I will contact eBay. Do you think I should get ahold of them right now and let them know what happened so far? I have messages from him that we're sent through eBay confirming that I received a piece of metal and him saying he will send it again. That way if there is an issue they will be able to go through the messages and see it.

I personally have never had to open a dispute over ebay. I would imagine that if you didn't delete the messages you can still use them as proof if you do have to contact ebay over the matter. I think you have the right idea to contact them if you don't receive the merchandise within the next 7-10 days. Maybe someone on here who has had to open a dispute over something like this will chime in soon. At any rate, good luck with it and hopefully you will get your toy!

That sounds like the same guy imo. Don't let him stall you and if not giving a tracking soon be sure to get your money back. I don't see how you can take wrong on a piece of metal and a he-man figure. This is just wrong. He for sure hopes that he will be able to keep the money since he got tracking number to give to ebay. Photo the thing and save messages. Also be sure to file a fraud if it is as I think it is.

He just sent me a message about his PayPal acct being frozen or something. Not sure exactly, it didn't make much sense. This should be fun. I sent him a message asking him to cancel the order and refund my money through eBay. I will wait until Monday and if he hasn't gotten back to me or if he comes up with some new garbage I will just call eBay. I tried to fill out a "did not receive item" form but it said I have to wait until may 6 to do that. When it is all figured out I will post a pic of the metal piece and the item description he put on the listing here so everyone has an idea of who he is. Be careful all. I should have listened to my gut when it was screaming "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE"

Captainswatty - I had a look at the US ebay and found the seller and his phantom listing for the HE - MAN figure you've paid for, I suggest you just file a claim and get your cash back, or do a chargeback. Hes a conman, clear as day sadly. Disgusting really. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually sold these ages ago via some other deal offline and is simply conning innocent people.

I would file a claim immediately and threaten him with reporting him for mail fraud. You have evidence he's done it twice.

I recently found one at a thrift/antique shop here in Tucson for 3 bucks! I don't know how an overseas exclusive made it to a shop in Tucson, but I'm not complaining!

With these last two light up figures, HE MAN and SKELETOR you can even begin to see the mark of the New Adventures begining to come about...the design was slowly changing. Shame they never made the HE RO line at the time...I love the whole concept, mythos etc but was never into the toys - just hated the aesthetic.

Holy crap! Awesome score. I love seeing stuff like this, where exclusives show up stateside. I know as a kid I used to know a family that always went back and forth from Germany. I know for a fact he had a bunch of exclusive Transformers that most likely ended up in a yard sale. Great score man!

A question that may never be answered since the person who posted basically has not been on since the post was made. Its a conspiracy man! I tells ya! (looks around paranoid style). Maybe the seller was Skeletor? Maybe King Hiss or Hordak PRIME?! I reckon the buyer was sucked into the VOID...Man, its dangerous out there....

I'd say $100 max if the light up stuff works.

I'd say $100 max if the light up stuff works. Yeah but it appears to not have any of the light up stuff, just the figure, no pack, no sword? Thanks for the answer, just didn't know if you realized.

You're right, it's easier with Skeletor, his eyes and hand light up. Hard to say what it's worth but lose ones usually go for 50-60 Euro on German ebay, so that's about $75.
