Hello Everyone,
I am new to the site and hope to make some new friends here as well as find avenues to finding some of my favourite toys I had as a child. I used to have a huge toybox full of "guys" as I used to refer to them and somehow they disappeared over the years. Most were tossed by my dad but I admit to retiring a few of them myself due to rough play. My most cherished ones were as follows, starting from my all time favourites to ones I remember fondly:
Lords of Light- I had all three monsters and the purple emperor. My all time favourite childhood toy. I would sleep with them in my bed lol. Blackstar (ones you put flint in their backs)-Had Bat guy, Sea guy, Bee Sectaurs- I had all of these and loved them all Masters of the Universe- Had a good amount of these, watched the cartoon just about every day after school. Muscle Men- I remember girls liked these just as much as the boys which was unusual for a toy. I had about a hundred of these in a shoebox which mysteriously vanished lol. (dad) G.I. Joe- Everyone had these lol. In my opinion best toy for actual playing/outdoor use.
I am interested in learning about all types of action figures but my knowledge is mostly related to 80s toys. I am also willing to contribute any information that may help others "remember" certain toys. As far as getting some of my old toys back I could live without most of the toys I used to have but I would like to get those Lords of Light back!

Hey howdy hey. You've picked a decent place to start. This is one of the better sites for the figures in the MOTU style and similar, though there are plenty of other lines people collect or have to trade.

Thanks guys. I am from the United States. Recently I bought a few 3 3/4" G.i. Joes and also micro machines. I have been browsing ebay a lot lately trying to get a feel for how much things are going for these days. One thing that struck me was that I saw zero hits for Lords of Light.

Keep searching, but you'll probably just have to always look for random lots for those sorts of figures.

Ok, Thanks for the tip M8. I saw a partial body of one of these guys in one of the trade listings here and I would be psyched to even have a partial of one of these tbh, just to have one again.

I think you have to search micronauts then narrow the search to action figures and browse until you spot one. Some sellers don't know their names .

Quicke re-cap. I just looked on ebay and there are a couple of Lords of Light incomplete figures up for over $300 before shipping. They are both from the same seller and I personally think this is a bit high.

I have a carded emperor if you are interested in it. I also have 3 of the 4 figures loose and complete, but am still looking for a "Nepos". Once I find him and take pictures for my reference guide then I will part with those too. Send me an PM if you are interested in the carded Emperor Dementia.
