Check out this guide to the 1990s Toybiz X-Men action figures. I don't know if they have an X-Force section but you would think so as they go hand in hand. www.toymania.com/archives/xmen/I have most of the figures up until they all started to go anime style (I stopped at series XII somewhere in 1996). I only have the last 3 or 4 waves MOC as I would always take them off the card for display. There were certain figures that I don't think were released in Canada (never found them in Winnipeg at least) like V1 Slayback, Mojo, Domino, etc. I would have to make a trip every once in awhile to Fargo ND to pick these guys up (still missing a few).

I realize this is an old thread, but came across a site with good info on the X-Force Line cooltoyreview.com/Flashback018.aspI really enjoyed hunting down the figures from this and the X-Men line back in the day. They were pretty much what got me back into figure collecting back in the early 90s.

That was a cool read. I was really into X-Men figures as a kid, and I really think they stand the test of time in terms of quality. I still find toybiz figures in excellent condition after years of being tossed around. Great read!

Really weird because the other day I bought a baggie full of assorted weapons and reading this thread and following the latest link I thought Strife's weapon looked familiar and sure enough, it was one of the things in the baggie. Thanks, 10incher.

I really think it is a great line as they released so many different X-Men characters, probably one of the best from the 1990s. It did start to get kind of sketchy near the last few years though with all the gimmick variants like Battle Blasters, Monster Armour, Robot Fighters and such. I guess they ran out of characters to make though they really would have been better off just digging up the odd obscure character to make as a figure instead. However the Savage Land packs look kind of cool and I may hunt them down one day.

I loved the amount of characters that was put out. I just wish they had finished off some of the teams that they touched on ( new mutants, Hellions, etc) and I always wished they had put out the marauders! I've got two totes full of toy biz marvel figures. Loved this line.

Talking about 1990s figures in another thread got me thinking about the Toy Biz figures, specifically about the mail-in / mail away figures which were available. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of what was available, when, and from where?
Looking through eBay and online searches gives only partial, and probably incomplete, info. I appreciate any help with this, thanks!

The amount of characters released is fantastic. My only gripe with the Toy Biz figures would be the sometime DRASTIC DIFFERENCES in figure design, like why does this figure have 5 points of articulation while this one has 12? Why is this guy super skinny when compared to the rest of these figures? etc.... Toy Biz was all over the place with figure designs, I like my figures to be same/similar in design for a single toyline.
And the later series figures, as mentioned, just flat out suck if you ask me. Id take a Frog Man figure over "Space Gear Water Blasting Sparking action Wolverine!" any day of the week.
