Lolz yea he looks like "one more word outta him and I'm going to throttle him". Wouldn't be much of a fight, monkey meat would be flying in no time.

Won a lot of these on eBay not too long ago. Man, do I love cheap-o rubber, gape-mouthed lizard toys of the vintage variety! Anyway...the lot consisted mainly of this type of rubbery reptile (there were some 70s Imperials in the mix as well as others). They all came with a tiny baggie of multi-colored candies jammed into their craws. Against my better judgement...I partook. For all I know, they coulda been used to smuggle drugs! Stupid me! Must've been from an earlier time since pill look-alike candy isn't exactly kosher these days. They tasted lousy, by the way...the rest are in the trash. Anyway, here are the boys. I've seen these molds used before. Who knows how or when they originated. Just wanna find out if the came in any kind of package (I'm thinking cardboard PDQ) or if they had a fancy name. Also wanna know how many types of reptile were made. I have doubles of some if anyone wants. Here's a side shot showing off their gaping glory! Perfect for tiny bags of enticing pill-like candies...hey, I have yet to feel the effects of catastrophic organ failure. *GAH GAH GLUHCK*

Found these monstrous seal/walrus creatures recently. Sharp-toothed walrus dude. About 4 inches long. He's 1 of 2 types. Here's the variant. Body of a seal, face of a piranha/alligator? Either way, amazing. Another slight difference is this guy is smooth, while the more walrus-y one has lines on it. Also, found this by luck: Big red-eyed bug. Kinda beat up, but still cool. About 6 inches long. Seems it was a squeak toy, but it no longer makes noise.

Here's a real treat...check out dis ol' boy! Taste the rainbow!!! Three fuity flavors. I have have NEVER seen this variation before. No Imperial markings or dates. Super awesome, though. Also for all you rubber lizard lovers...a white variant on the weirdo basilisk. So, I've seen a black, a white, and a brown. I just need the brown! I was able to snag these in a lot with some other monsters right away on an eBay offer not too long ago. Sweet score! Around six inches tall. Made of vinyl. Have articulated arms, legs, and even tails. Technically, you can consider 'em action figures! Great foes for your smaller Imperial Godzilla. I would love to see more sculpts or even other color versions.

i figured that you might be bidding on that colorful weird dino, so i backed out early. is he missing a toe or two? it was hard to see in the ebay pics. i've never seen that variation either, but i once had a large imperial triceratops with a very similar color scheme.
if you aren't holding onto that rat lizard, i still need one!

Honestly, I looked at the bidders' initials afterwards and kinda felt bad since I assumed you were going for it. No, he isn't missing anything. He does have holes in his tummy since the vinyl is rather thin there.
Once I collect all three (known) rat lizards, I'll presumably open a portal to Rat Lizard Utopia, so since you know my address...nab 'em in my absence.

Here's my Jesus lizard entourage: I've yet to see the dark green/brown one OP posted. Some more cooler ones: The iguana is slightly shorter than the more common version. For the longest time, I thought these were the Flexatron tigers. Sadly I was wrong. One's hard plastic, the other soft. The hard one says made in China, other in Hong Kong. This small jiggler must've been made in the USA, as "Missouri" is stamped underneath. Maybe a local prize?

Here are a couple of rubber bugs made in 1979. They are made with two parts (top and bottom) clipped together. Anyone knows this line?

I remember seeing a green version of that cobra in the gift shop of a place called Clyde Peeling's Reptile Land here in Pennsylvania. Wanted it sooo bad as a kid. The green looked so sick! What is the manufacturer, if mark is present? Also, how tall is that green frilled lizard? I have two in pink that look similar, but if that yellow dino on the left is as big as that sculpt usually is, then the frilled guy is probably kinda big.

Lizard & snake are both Sun-Wai. Lizard is about 4 inches tall. Here's a comparison pic to its larger counterpart (frog in pic is also Sun-Wai) More random stuff: zombie-eyed lion & boar/warthog Weird creature that looks like it was designed by John Kricfalusi Someone else here recently posted a pic of a different-colored one. I'm sure one of you jumped on it quick. Finally, a sort-of custom (not really) Red-eyed elephant with randomly found saddle that fits perfectly.

Found 2 companion pieces for the devil croc I found earlier this year Same exact mold, different paint job. Also the smaller seems like an exact copy of the bigger ones, but is more rubbery, not plastic

Here are some other Imperial classics form 1979: I'm pretty sure they made a set of four (there's an allosaurus-type dino too). About nine inches tall with the standard hollow gullets! Gotta love the weird stegosuarus rex...almost seems like it should be a Godzilla prototype. Here's a six inch tall knock off of ol' Stegosaurus Rex! looks like a T-rex and a stegosaurus mated & had a baby ,that does look freaky

here are smaller versions of the monster dino and the imperial fin headed ones: don't get me wrong but that dino looks kinda like a giganotosaurus but he wasn't discovered back then, maybe deltadromeus or carcharodontosaurus one of my favorites! based on an actual prehistoric lizard called a Diplocaulus. this is a newer (early 90s) version, but i've seen a more monster like one in brown and red from the 70s. i'd love to get that one. 2 imperial prehistoric mammals, the smilodon and the mastodon. both came in a few color variations. there are not enough vintage big rubber prehistoric mammals! anyone know of any others out there? nice saber-toothed cat you got, thats a mean kitty

So many cool, old vinyl, plastic and rubber figures out there. The vintage stuff is always the coolest. Modern animal figures seem to have little or no imagination, do they? Case in point...what I have come to refer to as the "rat lizard". What is this thing?! I assumed Imperial, but no official manufacturer's mark. He's over a foot long...maybe approximately 13-15 inches from nose to tail tip. Has the classic hollow mouth all the way through. Tail is sort of notched on the underside for ease of movement. I've sen a toy like this ONCE in my life somewhere out there on the internet some time ago. I was struck by its oddness. I had to have one. Took years to find! I was so surprised at how big it was since I assumed it was fairly small way back when. Anyone know how or when it was released or seen anything like it? Did it have a tag, was it in a PDQ displayer? Were there other color schemes or similar beasties to go with it? Of course, unlike today, toy companies didn't seem to care about scientific accuracy decades ago. Seems to look like a basilisk or "Jesus Lizard" that can skip across water, only it has the ears of a mammal. Weird, and most importantly beautiful. They don't make 'em like this no more.

Straight from 1977 comes this guy...a weird uggo horned toad? Dragon? Mutant dinosaur? Maybe all three!!! About eight inches long with the classic hollow gullet. Made by Imperial of course. I'm pretty sure they made this guy in other colors. Did this mold ever get resized? Also, did it have any similar companion pieces? HALP!!! It's an ANKYLOSAURUS. Look at the spikes on the sides, the "sledgehammer" on the tip of the tail and the horns on the head, plus the bone plates on the back (body armor). Really an Ankylosaurus.

NF made their animals either in flexible rubber, or in harder plastic. The NF plastic animals all had two tiny holes on their belly. Many of their animal models are now on Toy Animal Info, an online encyclopedia of toy animal figures.
