No markings to back o' pack, no dates anywhere I can see. From an old shop called Jim's Collectibles ... bless ya, Jim. Jim basically has all the musky unwanted leftovers from 1981 - 1990. This is the only thing I wanted from his store. The rest is truly junk, I'm amazed he can afford to stay open!

I'm finding it hard to believe that there are that many "musky unwanted leftovers" from the 80s that are that uncool. Could you maybe post some random pictures from his shop? Pretty please?

Picture shelves of dusty VHS tapes, racks of audio cassettes, huge garish earrings, movie posters with Macaulay Culkin and Ted Danson, pink backpacks. No action figures ... all this in a tired forgotten New Zealand town.

Can anyone tell me more about this indian line? Other known Sun Toys products?

There could be gold in them there VHS tapes! As for Sun Toys... as far as I know, they've been around as long as China has been making toys (even to this day), making primarily die-cast stuff. Military, cars, cowboys & indians, you name it. These days, you can still find some of their stuff in a dollar store.
I wouldn't advise licking the paint.
EDIT: Y'know, it's funny... you say "musky unwanted 80's leftovers" and my curiosity is piqued... you say "junk shop" and I go ohhhh, duh! Somehow, I was imagining a place like I saw in California that was full of new 80s stuff, but was so picked over that anything worthwhile was long gone, with the possible exception of a few copies of that Cowboy guy from Pee Wee's Playhouse.

Rihia2k, in the states VHS is making a small underground comeback, you may have some rare gems in that shop.

I already said that In all seriousness though, in my experience, the REALLY hard part is finding the "rare gems" that are invariably hidden amongst the mountains of dreck VHS. Its virtually impossible, unless you figure out a way to get a database scanner for VHS like the bookhounds use.

Oh yeah, I let my Mom sell a bunch of my unwanted VHS last year and one of those bookhounds did use the scanner on the tapes and scooped up a few.
