Its a game
I just found HeroQuest for 10.00 complete at value village. I had this game when I was like 12 or something and it was very fun to play. If you have never seen it think dungeons and dragones but a board game. Anyways I was very happy to find this and snached it up. I was even more happy to find out that it was 100% complete when I got home.

It is a fun game to play. Now my mission is to track down the expansion packs. My buddie at work said that he might have a few kicking around.

I rediscovered the simple fun of playing Heroquest with my nephew last year. It really have a great D&D, vintage Fantasy, Barbarian hero hack and slash fun to it. www.boardgamegeek.com/game/699I thus started looking upon some game in the same style and fell so far upon Mattel Dark World with his gloriosiously rendered plastic Castle and heroes www.boardgamegeek.com/game/31Also found TSR Dragon Strike, D&D response to Heroquest which feature cool gameboard and a funny VHS introduction www.boardgamegeek.com/game/1149Any more of you collecting (and playing) these cardboard and plastic gloomy dungeon adventure games full of monster and fuzzy underwear warriors?

I actuallt broke open my Heroquest game for the first time earlier this year! It really is a good "boardgame" version of D&D. I also came across the Dungeon boardgame, I have played it in the past (had one years ago), but haven't played it recently. It is a bit simplier in concept but is still a great game. boardgamegeek.com/game/1339Wouldn't mind picking up Dark Tower someday to try. boardgamegeek.com/game/30

wow, I love hero quest but have not found anyone to play with here, I picked up a complete game at goodwill last year but still have not used it. The expansion packs for this game are really expensive now.

And above all, the action figure collector aspect of the game piece make it fun just by itself as the figures, monsters and scenery are splendid. When searching for other Heroquest like game I discovered the many incartion of Dungeon, it really intrigate me and will probably aim at getting one version one day (I think they're like 3 editions). Never heard of this one, it sure look cool! Finding players can be hard indeed, on my part I play with my 8 and 6 years old nephew and it's quite a thrill. Me and my other geek friend also planned a vintage boardgame weekend somewhere this autumn, and Heroquest will be on the menu for sure. The expansion have indeed insane price, I managed to get bits and part of two of these in garage sales and one complete at a fair price on E-Bay. After a few games they sure ad to the experience, but if it's only for casual play the basic box offer a lot of possibilities. And besides, many heroquest look alike have much less following and thus are easy to find at a much fairer price. I found Dragon Strike at 20$ and Dark World for 10$.
