when i was a kid, the local shops would have gumball machines outside and sometime machines that sold little plastic capsules ,half clear half solid color, inside there would be a toy, a tin ring, a tiny joke book or similar. in the summer of 78, the machines were suddenly filled with capsules containing tiny inch high bendies called mini funnies, these were tiny super deformed style figures with bendy arms, they had disproportionatly long arms that mostly stuck out sideways in a give us a hug sort of position no other part was bendy, and they ruled. series one contained a bug eyed dude who 20 years later i realised was kamen rider stronger, so the toys were originaly Japanese,as well as a robot who i later found out was robocon, and another who was found to be gredizer.also mickey mouse,a robot guy with a flame fist and horned helmet, a cowboy with a huge pistol. series 2 were cartoon styled animals, a monkey, a cat ,a girraffe, etc all in anthropomorphic style series 3 were lil guys in uniforms with cloaks,i later realised these were an early incarnation of power ranger style teams, each had a different weapon and eye visor, but otherwise the uniform was the same, there was a guy with a gun, a guy with a boomerang a guy with a sword etc in all three sets each figure was available in several colors. what i wouldnt give to find those lil guys again.

Here's mine, I think he used to have a bow in one hand but I seem to remember a bit broke off so I cut the rest off Assuming these were based on Japanese characters I'd say he was suppoed to be Raideen (sorry for the crappy pic, hard to focus on something just over an inch high)
