There is no difference between the packs, same mold, same colors. When you say the regular version which do you mean? version a b or c? They all can be worth upwards to $100 if they are in complete and mint shape.

I Have heard that this figure is almost impossile to find without cracked elbow's, is that the reason for the value?

Almost all the ones I have seen have cracked elbows. and the g.i.joe guide says that collectors are lucky to find 1 in any condition. that is why i asked about him

I've come across probably 15 over the years, think I've only seen cracked elbows on half of them. still haven't got a c though

I've had 3 Stardusters over the years. The one i currently have is in the red back mailer with all of his equipment. A very minty figure.

The jetpack is the same as the pack from the j.u.m.p set. I'd imagine it's pretty easy to find. The tricky part is finding the helmet and black visor.

I've heard this term "cracked elbows" on joes and don't think any of my current joes have it and I know none of the ones I owned as a child did. What exactly does this mean?

So this refers to the actual elbow part. sometimes when the rivet is punched its a bit off center or tight and over time the soft plastic which is very thin on the elbow part cracks. here is a good shot of everything posted above...star duster, his rare accessories and the evil double elbow crack....arrrrg:
