I am trying to find out what accessories were included with a few of the figures, Prince Lotar, King Zarkon, Skull Scavenger and Doom Commander. Does anyone own MOC or complete loose figures that they could post pics of?

It looks like Skull Scavenger, King Zaekon & Prince Lotar have no weapons other than their shields. It is kinda hard to tell from the carded pics. I just picked up a MOC Doom Commander the other day and he only has his shield.

Awesome, thanks. Do you know exactlly what accessories come with the larger Voltron III that fits the figures and what accessories come with the diecast matchbox version? I have a pile of them but don't know which goes to what.

red and black go to the 33/4 size and the silver goes to the metal version. if you have gold its the reissue.

Thats sounds like it makes sense, though the silver weapons are all the same size as the black & red ones?

yeah they are about the same size. if i recall mine is too deep on the shelf to check them. and remember that the 33/4 one also has the manefaces and zodac style tail guns both black and red.

Did the diecast set and 3 3/4" set have the same amount of weapons: Black Lion - a large sword and a large shield (I assume the two version have two different sizes of these right?) 4 colored Lions - a knife weapon (4 different styles), a side shield or side laser and a tail gun each (2 had a black tail gun and 2 a Man-e-faces tail gun).

I have a plastic voltron lion set and the tip of the tail of the yellow lion broke off and does not lock into the black voltron anymore. This yellow lion has black stripes on the back and a stamp of 1984 world events production on it. to replace this lion or switch out parts I found another yellow lion, but this has white stripes on his back and is slightly skinnier than the 1984 version. the head is slightly different. is this yellow lion the reissue and from when, 90's - recent? P.S. there is no date stamped on it.

I'll look at mine I have a boxed one thats open .

Yes, I wasn't sure but it won't work cause I can't unscrew the 84 version, but the newer ones can be unscrewed, unless you know a way to take apart the old one without breaking the casing. I don't see any screws on it unless they're covered by the black hubcappy things on it's legs. thanks though

Could it be the Matchbox version? Or even GoLion? The Voltron line is very confusing to me.

Speaking of the Voltron yellow lion, I recently picked up 2 canopies for the Panosh version (mine has been missing for years). Tried slapping one on and the damn things just don't fit! They should be the proper canopies but neither of them close tight when put on!

This voltron thing is starting to get crazy. canopies that won't fit, different size lions, can't open old one to repair. what the hell is going on here??!!!

I'm dubbing it "Curse of the Voltron". Now, add in all the KO's to the equation!

Is matchbox still recallling the 1984 Voltron lions that have lead paint? I have one with the sticker listed in the recall. I'm unsure if I should send it back to Matchbox or lick the paint off.

I'm sure they'll gladly take it back...but at best they're likely to send you a coupon for a few bucks off a future Mattel purchase.
If I were you I'd keep it, lead is only a threat if ingested.

I have a similar question but about the figures. I have two Keith figures. But there are a few differences. Figure A (Looks exactly like the one on the database here) has all the stamps on the bottom of his feet (The stamps are recessed) Figure B has a retooled Torso (Most noticeable in the waist) and the stamps are on the back of his boots (These stamps are raised lettering)
All the stamps are the same "Made in China" and "W.E.P. LTD 1984"

Here's pictures of the figures Figure A is on the left and B is on the right Here's the figures: Date Codes: Heads and Collars: Waists: Also like to mention that some of the paint apps are slightly different. Like the stripes on the gloves. The one on the left is painted on the outside of the edge of the gloves while the one on the right has paint all the way up to the arm

Never noticed that variant before with any of the Voltron figures I have. Will have to check through my doubles to see.

I'll look at mine I have a boxed one thats open . No fair. They don't have that Panosh bootleg at my local china shop? WTF I've been looking for one of those.

Most of my bad guys have variants, but I had not noticed the pilot variants yet. I know they were made in multiple countries and each country did something a bit different with the molds or paints.

World Events, Toei, Matchbox, Panosh Place, LJN, Trendmasters... Is there a good archive of the actual toys that compares them all? I never know what to look for. You'd think Robot Japan would, but they don't have them all, unless I'm just not finding it.

Yeah, there are allot of versions of the original Go-Lion out there. Unfortunatly i don't know of a any good sites that have full toy informtion for all/most of the releases ya mentioned. Definatley would be a good site for someone with the knowledge and time to start up though!
