I was wondering exactly what year and with what figures does the G1 line end and the G2 line start? I always thought the last year for G1 Transformers was in 1992 with the Predators such as Stalker and Turbomasters such as Storm that were only released in Canada and Europe. Hasbro's website says that officially it was in 1990 in the USA.

g1 ended in 92 flat. with action masters. and returned in 94 with g2 then 95 with machine wars and the end of 95 with beastwars. machine wars was a kaybee exclusive line. as well as when beast wars started. machine wars just gave use the main figures we missed out on at the tail end of g1 like skyquake, thunderclash renamed starscream and optimus.

I was lucky enough to pick up a boxed Stalker and Storm at a yard sale many years ago. When I first got them, I though they were G2 and was gonna get rid of them. I am glad i decided against it.

It was the same way with the Black Hole line, Old Bob and the Humanoid were released in Canada as well as Europe. To bad the 3 European Secret Wars figures weren't released here as well.
Any idea what Stalker and Storm are worth? Their boxes are kinda beat up but they are complete with instructions and in excellent shape.

Picked up a loose Skyquake at Value Village a little while ago for a few bucks. He's missing his gun & missiles, but is still a nice find. There are some real nice bots that were released near the end of the G1 run over here, especially the larger guys.

Just as a side note, G1 never ended in Japan. Takara produced Transformers continually from 1985 (they started a year after Hasbro did in the US) until 2000. All the new moulds from G2 came from the current Japanese Transformers series at the time while the repaints were produced directly by Hasbro.

Does anyone have a full list of the G1 transformers released in Canada and Europe in 1991/92 (before it became the G2 line in the USA). Would love to know all that was released.
