Well i have followed wrestling for years and have noticed how rich it was in the 80's and 90's when it came to actual talent. So many wrestlers from all over the world and so many companies whereas now it has dried up a lot due to wrestlers dying, retiring, too many independent companies popping up all over the place but without tv deals to let people watch the new generation. From my list you will notice very few of the names are from 1995 onward (except maybe the Independent wrestlers)

I'm from the Southeast and followed Continental Championship Wrestling (CCW) and NWA in the mid 80's. Some of those guys crossed over into the AWA I believe but still a lot of great characters that would have made neat figures:
Lord Humongous Austin Idol Adrian Street

Ludevig, Is there a Mr. fuji with Demolition figure where Fuji's face is painted? I remember him painting his face like demolition when he started managing them. If not, that figure would look cool.

Nope, Hasbro never released a Fuji figure but that would have been awesome, with his suit, bowler hat and painted face.
It seems nowadays you can even get figures based on a specific match in regards to what they are wearing. But back in the day we got maybe one or two figures of the same guy (Unless your name was Hogan, Savge or Warrior) They really missed out on some great opportunities with the hasbro line. Imagine if it had continued into the mid to late 90s even, into the Attitude Era with Kane, DX, Austin, Goldust etc. Those would have been some fun figures.

Well i did mention Slick in one of my replies but he would have been a great addition as well as Sensational Queen Sherri to go with the Macho King Randy savage.
Oh i just remembered who else would have been good to have. Gen Adnan and Colonel Mustafa to go with Sergeant Slaughter, they could even have released a Hogan with the stars and stripes bandana and flag. In fact i am really surprised they didn't considering the storyline involving Slaughter in the Iraqui sympathiser role went on for just over a year.

I'm pretty sure there are hundreds more women, other than G.L.O.W., but that's I remeber right now. P.S. Why is there no "the Genius" fig? If you remeber who he is.

The Legends of Professional Wrestling series that had the bloody paint variants & such-they're still really cheap to come by. Most of the cost on 'em comes from the shipping expense. I remember seeing them advertised on the back page of Lee's AFN years ago. They're pretty crappy.

I thought the JAKKS line should have paid homage to masked wrestlers of the 70s. I loved the Killer B's they did with the masks included and would have loved to have seen: Mr. Wrestling II in his white and black trunks and mask; Mr. Wrestling II in his plaid suit, turtleneck and mask with the Georgia belt; the Masked Superstar; Masked Superstar in his famous leather jacket, turtleneck and boots; Mil Mascaras in his mask and 3-piece suit and the Spoiler with is black glove. The problem would be the face molding with the cloth mask. You could unmask Mil Mascaras and see what he really looked like. Superstar would be no problem as it would be the same head mold as Demolition. I'd also love to see, in any form, Lord Littlebrooke, Little Tokyo, Little Beaver, Haiti Kid. Those guys were fantastic workers and deserve their own figure.

I love the Jakks figures, especially in their later designs when they started looking more like their likenesses. Once WWE purchased the rights to just about every other wrestling federation, I think they missed the boat on certain figures, some which should have been remade or some they just completely missed such as:
Hercules Hernandez Owen Hart Bob Backlund (Young version) Pedro Morales Ludvig Borga Lex Luger (The Narcissist version) Ahmed Johnson Gangrel Bart Gunn Billy Gunn (Smoking Gunns version) Hakushi Savio Vega Marc Mero (Boxer version) Bobo Brazil Haystacks Calhoun Pat Patterson Ricky Steamboat Randy Savage The Von Erichs (Fritz, Kevin, Kerry & David) Baron Mikel Scicluna Carlos Colon Buddy Rogers Antonino Rocca Gorgeous George Ed "The Strangler" Lewis Frank Gotch Stanislaus Zbyszko Edouard Carpentier George Hackenschmidt Baron Von Raschke Nick Bockwinkel Larry Zbyszko Booker T (Harlem Heat version) Stevie Ray (Harlem Heat version) Konnan Jerry Lynn Masato Tanaka Mike Awesome Tracy Smothers Sal E. Graziano Tony Mamaluke Tommy Rich Shane Douglas Francine Chris Candido Tammy Lynn Sytch Big Dick Dudley Road Kill Axl Rotten New Jack Tony DeVito (The Baldies version) Spanish Angel Vic Grimes Taka Michinoku El Santo Mil Mascaras Blue Demon Antonio Inoki Giant Baba Stan Hansen The Great Muta Alberto Del Rio Sin Cara Sheamus Daniel Bryan Wade Barrett Justin Gabriel Heath Slater Ezekiel Jackson The Goon Max Moon Duke "The Dumpster" Droese Shockmaster Phantasio Barry Horowitz
and the list goes on and on .........

I agree that the Buddy Rogers figure should have been made and looking at the Buddy Roberts figure from the Freebirds, I almost think that that figure originally was Buddy Rogers. When you think Buddy Roberts, you think of his curly hair, jeans and boots, not his classic look, which was pre-Freebird. That figure looks like Buddy Rogers in my opinion.

I've always felt that the Buddy Roberts head was most certainly originally designed to be JJ Dillon. It looks exactly like him, and from all accounts for some reason he was on the list of figures that WWE absolutely did not want made. Never made much sense to me, especially since he was included in the Horsemen HoF induction. One of the only things left that JJ wants from the business is a figure. -J\/\/

That Wrestling legends line was pretty awesome. I picked up several of these recently including the Madman from Sudan, Abdullah the Butcher.

I've done two (soon to be a third) blog entries on wrestlers who absolutely never had a figure. Verne Gagne is still at the top of my list since he owned a company that had figures in addition to owning a huge ego. He's an absolutely glaring omission in the Remco line.
