I take it by some of the recent comments I have just read that the line has officially been cancelled. That's disappointing to me because out of Hasbro's Star Wars, G.I. Joe, and IJ I was planning on continuing to collect IJ. The wife and I went shopping today and everybody was blowing out the figures and vehicles. I picked up a 12" German Soldier from TLC at Target for $7.85. I want the Akator playset but I didn't see it anyhwere nor did I see any Temple Of Doom figures.

Still hoping to find the Temple of Doom figures. TJ Maxx got in the Last Crusade wave along with the vehicles (Including the Canvas covered Cargo Truck) just before X-Mas but I haven't seen anything new showing up there.
I saw the Temple playset at K-Mart today for $21

Yep, the line is pretty much dead, I don't think that we have had a official word from Hasbro yet but they cancelled the next wave of figures. Knowing Hasbro they will release a "best of" or "fan's choice" series in the next couple of years with the same molds but with repainted figures.

I visited Hasbro's website and they still have their IJ section up, but yeah I would have to agree the line doesn't look in real good shape. I got the Akator playset with the four extra figures at Sam's for $14.81. When you think that that is the cost of two normal figures, you get the impression that the retailers just want to get rid of the stuff as fast as possible. I have gotten some extra figures to put in the vehicles but I couldn't find a Russian Soldier anywhere. I never thought IJ would have the same following as Star Wars,Joe,etc but I thought it had a little more than apparently it does. I guess not enough kids got into it although I still have the image of a pretty young boy hugging a 12" Indiana figure and running down the toy aisle with it a few months ago at a Target.

i still think the line only did so bad because of the horrible gluttony of wave 1 and 2 figures that were just so over shipped. and then they kept sending revision cases with those same figures again! then when i finally stocked some wave 3 cases like 9 of the figures in a 12 figure case AGAIN! were wave 1 and 2 revisions. then when word got out they were cancelling the line i think it just sent alot of already frustrated collectors over the edge and then they just flat lost interest all together in the line.
its sad because all the figures i havent found yet from the last crusad wave the tod wave and the cancelled raiders wave 2 i wanted more than any of the figures that have been made and flooded out. really the only figures i did want that were easy to get were the cairo guys but now they all look like crap compared to the later wave that i still havent found.
and yet oddly enough i still probably bought 20 or 30 each of the german soldier and jacket mutts just for customizing.

Yeah, I was looking forward to the next wave of figures as well. I wonder if the close out type stores will eventually get some of the tail end items like the Temple wave. Hasbro always floods the market and then once they have made everything dog meat, they can't figure out why people give up. I gave up on GI Joe and Star Wars at the end of this past year partially due to the constant flooding of items that they do.

I found three Temple Of Doom figures today at a Dillons of all places. They were marked down to $3.50. They had an extra Thugee and Palace Guard that I thought about buying to sell here on the board but I was doing good just getting the ones for myself I got. Now, I just need the Temple Indy and Short Round.

And here is a pic with the Ugha Warrior that came with the playset, just to give you a relative feel of scale.

Eh, I think I will pass on the playset. I would have loved a Raiders temple playset or a TOD playset with cage to sacrifice Willie but this one just does not appeal to me.

I don't think this playset is bad, considering it's another one of the by -now routine Hasbro rehashes of another item. However, I agree that some playsets from the other movies would have been cool but it doesn't appear that will happen. I thought that was the direction Hasbro might go since Raiders is the most popular movie of the bunch, I thought we would see re-doings of the 80's playsets such as the Map Room, etc.

I discovered a news site called toycollectornews.com and saw an article about the IJ figures. I guess the line has been cancelled since October. I wish Hasbro would have put more time and effort into this line as I feel collectors may have bought into a more higher quality line of Indy stuff than they put out. I guess the history of Indy merchandise will remain spotty as it has been in the past.

I picked up two of those playsets for 8.74 each at Target in clearance! Be sure to check yours so you can get the same deal!!! Can any of my Canadian peeps in here hook me up with some Temple of Doom figures cause they don't sell them here in the US. I would love a complete set but I will take whatever I can get. What are the Jones figures priced at in Canada and are they on clearance over there like they are here? So many questions!

Prices vary here in canada, our Zellers has them priced at 12.99 for individual figures, ToyRUs is at 9.99 but had them on clearance last week at 4.something. WalMart has them for 3.94

Here is a pic of the 3 3/4" Crystal Skeleton mail-in figure. I still need Short Round and the Temple Indy but I'm going to try to wait for awhile because who knows there might be a bunch of the Temple figures in a warehouse someplace and they might eventually show up at the oddest places. I found the Temple figures I've been able to come across at a couple of Dillons grocery stores but there is the temptation to go to ebay just to complete your collection in a hurry. The Wal-Marts in my area have the figures down to $3.00. I would look for them to go down to $1.50-$2.00 after February 1 because the clearance slips in the stores say the $3.00 price is good through then. Some have reported the vehicles at $5.00 but around here the vehicles vanished once they went down to $13.00.

WOO HOO, I just got back from walmart with 2 5.00 convoy trucks, they must have had 50 of each of the cargo truck and the jungle cutter as well so maybe walmart is going through another clear out of these figures?

I got the day off from work so I took a little road trip and saw Wal-Mart was blowing out the figures for $1.00 a piece. There was only Mutt,Belloq, and Ugha Warrior left for the most part.

Sorry soundwave no vehicles but I will keep my eye out for them. I need a few minor parts from this line if anyone can help me out with a Ark Indy robe and the relic from whip cracking jones please PM me and we can work out a trade.

I picked up a 12 inch Mutt Williams for $4.50 today. I knew if I held out long enough, I could at least get the Mutt at a low price. The Wal-Mart I was at had a deal going where you took an additional 50% off the clearance price on toys. They had alot of 12 inch Mutts and Cairo Swordsmen. Most Indy stuff around here is gone except some random Belloqs here and there.

TRU has been discounting their Indy figures to under 5 dollars each on clearance and even had a 20 percent off sale on clearance items over the weekend. TRU is the only place around my way that has Indy figures left on selves really but they are so late compared to how Wal-Mart and Target roll.

I only took up collecting the Indiana Jones Adventures Heroes figures this year but filled the redemption form quite fast. On a whim I decided to send it in on the 28th of January and two weeks later I received a parcel. Granted, it was the 12" Ark of the Covenant and not the Adventure Heroes horse but I was still well impressed.

If any of you are having a delay on the Crystal Skull mail away I heard that they are starting to mail them out again. I'm due 3 and one of those was suppose to come by the end of last year!
