Noticed the three new 3-packs are starting to show in Targets (based on whats listed on Ebay)
- Black Vulcan, Apache Chief, Samurai
- Amanda Waller, General Eiling & Batman
- Superman, Blackhawk & Wonder Woman
Might have to make a trip south of the border and hit the Targets in ND. Hopefully also find the Batman Beyond and Cheetah 3-packs I still need.

Picked all 3 sets (waller, Superfriends & Blackhawk) up about a month ago on a trip to ND.
BTW I made a trip to my local TrU last week and low and behold on the pegs... JLU singles (Parasite, Booster Gold, Super Woman, Dr Fate, Batman with Wonder Pig and a re-colored GL)! Problem is they wanted $10.99 each. Thought the line was a Target exclusive in the US only. Maybe things are changing though (which would be cool).

This is a bit late but the latest wave of singles are in Targets - the Firestorm & classic Aquaman wave back in March and now the repaint Atom, Martian Manhunter & Brainiac wave started a few weeks back. I believe all are still in stores though. No new 3-pack or 6-pack sets yet.

I think he's great but it really makes you appreciate the 6 packs for $24.99 or $4.98 being the Doomsday and Grodd are bigger I think .

TrU.com now has the latest wave of jlu singles for sale at $7.99 each (Omac wave) or if you canalso find them at a TrU retail store . Don't thing the latest 3-packs are out yet though (Warlord, & Despero)

We'll it was announced at Toyfair that 2011 will be the last year for JLU as Mattel will be switching over to the Young Justice toyline to promote that new cartoon in the fall (eeech!) It looks like thgey will end the line with: - Matty Exclusive 7-pack to finish off the line (which will include Gypsy) - Matty Exclusive STRIPES - Three exclusive 3-packs which will be available at C2E2, Wonder Con, Dragon Con, & NY Comic Con: - Kyle Raynor/ Goldface/Evil Star
- Flash II/Heatwave/Mirror Master
- Angle Man/Killer Frost/Firestorm
- The following 3-packs: - Batman, Wonder Woman, Mongul
- Static Shock, Micron, Aquagirl
- Batman, Vandal Savage, & Future Superman
- A bunch of singles that have all been previously released: - Atomic Skull
- Crimson Fox
- Devil Ray
- Orange Shirt Aquaman
- Superman
I'm not sure where this leaves figures such as Adam Strange, Blue Beetle and Guy Gardner that were announced for 3-packs earlier on, but I would assume they will be released early in 2011. It looks like the Firefly & Dr Destiny figures that showed up on Ebay awhile back were never fully completed and will not be released. Anyone order the 7-pack last month? Still waiting for my two to come in the mail, one to keep in the package and the other to open up. Cost a fortune with shipping to Canada for the pair, especially once you factor in the customs charges.
On another note, it looks like the Convention 3-packs are going on sale on Matty.com 12/15!

The latest news I have heard is that Mattel is thinking of releasing the last six 3-packs (Guy Gardner, Blue Beetle, etc.) for sale on their site in 2012, though is considering a price point of $50 per pack. I see yhis as good news considering that they have announced the line is ending in 2012 and these may otherwise never see the light of day.
Now if thats what it takes to get the figures, I will buy them, especially if they are a limited run. Been waiting for a Blue Beetle for a looong time.

I have 140 right now, waiting on my Evil Star/Goldface 3 pack. I still haven't saved up enough to get either of the rarer 6 packs off Ebay (the one with Atomic Skull, the key, etc. and the one with Vibe, Bwana Beast) but I have most of the Mattycollector figures, except the Gotham criminals ones and the 7 pack and 2 of the new 3 packs. After that FIRE sale where they had STRIPE for $10, Parademons 2 pack for $12, etc., I refused to pay $55 for a 7 pack that mightbe resold in a few months for 30 to recoup they're losses. I appreciate those that did, people that have kept this line going, I have spent alot on these figures off Matty when they first came out, but right now I just can't afford it. Also, as mentioned above they have asked if JLU collectors would be willing to pay $50 apiece for the last 6 three packs (in another toy group I'm in there was a poll), since they said they've undersold everything they put out on Matty except Lobo (and Giganta, but I already had her from SDCC). We all know, "sold out" on Maty does NOT mean sold out, "Gone for good" does. I would LOVE to have some of these packs, (Toyman, Micron, Blue Beetle, Aquagirl, etc.) but if I pay $50 for one, I don't want to see it marked down to $20 a month later, like what happened with STRIPE, the JLA 3 pack and the other 3 pack with Animal Man, Starman and Adam Strange. Plus, there's still tons of figures they could make, IE-Helgrammite, Blockbuster, Granny Goodness, the list goes on. I know the packaging cost them, so how bout they release some in plastic bags for the collector who doesn't care about them MOC? Also, if you bought all the last 6 three packs for $50 each, that's $300. Out of those 18 figures, only 10 are new ones, so you're paying $30 a figure. That's just insane. I really appreciate Maty carrying this line on for as long as they have, and I still have a BUNCH of older figures to eventually catch up on, but I collect so many lines, I'd almost have to sell something to get all of those packs. I'm also tired of them adding a tired ass Flash/Supes/Batman to a Mattyexclusive 3 pack. These are NOT sold at retail, and only JLU collectors buy them, so why repack Flash and Mirror Master with Heatwave? Why put Firestorm in with Killer Frost and Angleman? If the other pack was Angle Man, Killer Frost and Heatwave, I'd have paid $30 for it, let alone $20, but if I buy the Heatwave pack as it is, I'm paying $20 for one figure, the other 2 I already have....I just can't see doing that. I'll wait and hope they go on sale.

Well the latest I heard now is that Mattel said their is not enough interest to release the final unproduced figures. Who knows, maybe its a marketing ploy to get people to panic and buy them up when they do release them for $100 per 3-pack!

I've been following the drama on if these final 3-packs will be released for some time now. It seems Toyguru, who works on the line over at Mattel, first proposed the $50 per pack price if their was enough collector interest. Once this was announced an unofficial poll was created on the AFI forums, which Mattel then decided to use to base the interest on for these sets. Toyguru then posted on the Matty forums that their wasn't enough interest and the line was dead, eluding that they would need to sell 3000 units in order to offer the figure sets on the Matty website. After much pleading from JLU fans, Toyguru has given fans another chance. He stated on the Matty forums that JLU collectors need to voice their opinion on whether they would be interested in these sets at a $50 per 3-pack price point. This resulted in a new poll on the Custom Justice forums that Mattel is going to base collector interst on. Now I urge anyone who wants these final figures, please vote for them in the poll below: dchallofjustice.com/news/?p=12543This may be the only way we will ever see Mongul, Blue Beetle, Guy Gardner, Static, etc. in JLU format! Please vote for them and post the link to the poll wherever you think their might be interest! Even for those of you who don't collect the line, would still be a great investment for a limited run set of figures. |

I will probably pick up the Micron/Aquagirl/Static pack, but i passed on the Mongul one. I'd love to have him, but moneys tight right now, and since he comes with Super and Batman, which I dont need more of, he's basically a $30 figure.
