Anyone know anything about the Connectors line released by Matchbox around 1990?
The figures are around 3" (8cm) tall and have interchangable parts. From what I can work out the range was a mix of horror and fantasy type figures. I have one, a kind of swamp thing / toxic avenger type, but I remember seeing a vampire, alien and possibly a mummy in an auction a while back.
I've so far been able to find out very little about them. There's a couple of carded sets on ebay with crappy pics and that's about it.
Anyone have these back in the day?

I never got any of them. Even though I think is a cool line. Tons-of-toys has some good pictures:

Gort, your guy should be Grumo according to the pics.

Thanks for the link, Hudasa From the two box styles it looks like there were at least 16 figures in the line.

I have the "Mr. T" and Alien set - largely because of my love for all things Mr. T.
Judging by the two figures I have to go on, I'd say the line is a weak execution of a great idea. The thought of an action figure line with generic figures and interchangable parts is pretty cool - but know one has really nailed the execution yet.
I look past the sculpting and paint because most early 90's figs suffered in this department. The thing that hurts these figs is that the connector joints get loose with repeated play.
