this is one of three figures from the butterfly line. butterflywoman was the she-ra as sun-man was the he-man for the toy company olmec. which was a company that made toys with black heroes. the company was started by a mother who felt there wasn't enough black toys to play with (totally agree) so she bought old molds from companies like mego and hasbro and olmec was born starting first with the bronze bombers a gi joe style figure which used old a-team and mego molds with new heads , later used old gi joe molds (vehicle vipers) then came sun-man and butterfly women which were an even blend between remco and mattel molds. these figures often get ignored due to the lack of info on them. these are great figures and help to spread the motu/blackstar/conan i little bigger ;D

Well I am sure they are, they just dont grab at me like the other lines. I do like that they are african american. Maybe If I could see thier legs and more of the plastic, the outfits take away from them.

Maybe If I could see thier legs and more of the plastic, the outfits take away from them. it is usually better to see these things out of the packages and "moving" as they are really intended... i have to admit ButterFly Woman doesn't POP as much as some of the other female lines, but they deffinately still have their place in the pantheon...
