I've been looking for some of these figures for a while now and finally got my first one today. They're very tough to come by and when they do pop up on ebay, end up going for alot. The faces dont hold up very well over time, so the loose ones are usually without the gummy outer face, making the carded figures that much more desirable. I ended up getting my carded Tembo for an extremely cheap 6 bucks. I want to open it up and look at it, but with as rare as they are, I'm hesitant. I have to say, they're a very nice figure line with a really cool gimmick that somehow managed to slip completely under the radar back in the day.

I have also been looking out for these figures and your right, probably will have to go the MOC route. I have some of their weapons incase I do find loose figures.

I just picked up another carded figure on ebay for next to nothing. The seller mispelled Infaceables in the auction title and I stubled accross it

I love when that happens. What figure is it and how many more do you have to go?

It was a carded Sphinx and I ended up paying 7.99 plus shipping. Counting this one, that make two figures and one vehicle I have in my collection. I've got 6 more figures and 2 vehicles to go. I think it may take while to get the rest...

On average, I paid around $10 each for the moc figures I have. I also paid $10 for the Incredible Thrasher mib on ebay a while back.

Stay away from the loose ones. Its impossible to find loose figures that still have their rubber face.

I was able to score the 3 Infaceables vehicles recently, and am just waiting for them to come in. Got them from 2 different sources from Europe, so shipping wasn't exactlly cheap. Two are MIB and one is loose. Hope to get some pics up of these as soon as I get them.

Hi, I;m hope I've posted this in the correct section. I'm trying to ID a toy line from the 80's, the figure were similar to MOTU in size and theme. I don't seem to remember that it was from a cartoon or film and think it was only 1 line. The main feature was that when you pressed a button on the chest or expanded the figure it caused a air to be sucked out of the face, this was made of thin latex and caused the face to shrivel/look undead. I hope this isn't a really obvious/well know line Ive been searching the net in vain (led me to here) and can't find any info. Not sure if this was just a UK/European line? Any info or links would be appreciated Thanks

These were definitely sold in the UK - my late Mother once asked me around 1985 if I wanted figures 'that had faces which changed into animals' - she didn't mention the name of the toyline, as she'd forgot the name but the description matches these things. And she said they where around this size too.

Hey everybody....great to be here, I actually joined just for this thread as it is the ONLY thread on the net related to these well underappreciated figures. The Infaceables though considered lame at the time....are without a doubt some of the most beautiful figures to display MOC....the artwork is spectacular. I finally managed to complete my set this year.
AND...the even better news is that I am currently working on getting lose specimens functioning again. I am pretty certain it can be done. Once I get one up and running I will try to post pics.

Hi all
I remember having these he-man type figures back in the mid 80's. I really want to collect them again but I don't know what they were called.
They were made from hard plastic but had rubber faces, latex like. They used to change their face. I think it was when you pressed their stomach. I remember one was Egyptian looking.
Does anyone know what they are or remember them?

Hey there. Those were The Infaceables. Here is a link to the thread about them on this very board. actionfiguresca.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Cartoons&action=display&thread=142Wonderful line of figures that get little love...but I do understand why as Gallob did not make them with collecting in mind...NONE...function today, not even MOC...the thin latex rots over time. The good news is they CAN be repaired, I've already repaired 3 and plan to do the entire set and will then auction them off. So it will be possible to have a lose complete working set. I've been wanting to post pics, but the problem is my work IT dept blocks photobucket and my home pc is in a rural area and it's terribly slow to upload pics...so I'm kind of stuck in picturless limbo. I have great pics of the Robash I repaired...dying to post tehm...pics of my collection too. I've got them on snapfish, but cannot figure out how to get a URL pic on that site for posting purposes....I'll get it figured out at some point.

You apparently did not notice that we combine threads here, SF. The one the person referred to was in a topic called :
" What are those rubber face changing figures called"
which was combined with ones called "Infaceables" and Infaceables by Galoob".

Long time no talk on The Infaceables line. Has anyone got any fresh insight on the repair or preservation of these guy's faces? Even opinions on the best methods of storage/display? I know these cats lose their faces even MOC, so whats the overall life expectancy? I have some loose complete (with o.k. faces) but I'm almost too scared to sneeze within a 2 mile radius of them. AFA member 'txbg' made mention of repairing them, even getting their suction function running, but then 'txbg' never posted again on the matter here. TBH the functioning side doesn't bother me, just wanna' know if there are any 'armor all' options (not literally) or should I just dowse these punks with heavy varnish? Anything to have 'em displayed soundly without their melty faces freaking out the neighbourhood.

Checking online it appears silicone sprays are ideal in protecting latex, but I'm still gonna' need a push/advice before jumping into it. Anyone else on here tried anything with preserving these guys?

Would be a good idea, never tried it though as i think I wouldn't want to take the chance of wrecking the figure. Let us know if you decide to give it a try though rihia2k.

The Infaceables were popular in Greece and released through El Greco toys in that country. Theres even some exclusive Variations only released in Greece- such as the purple/yellow/silver 'Horrible Hammer' vehicle (US/UK release is Black & Red), and the Red & Blue 'Torto the Claw' figure (US/UK version is yellow & Green). Theres possibly more variants. This line is obscure to begin with and foreign variants are super rare and unheard of. Ive only seen the two above repaints on ebay once over the course of ten years. To say the least these variants are the grails of the Infaceables toy line. Luckily I saved pics of the Horrible Hammer variant:

Does anyone have a carded Infaceables figure in a case? What case do you use? I just picked up five MOC figures, but now would like to get a case for them. They are too wide for a MOTU Zolo case, and the 200x case is slightly too big (although they do fit, but not well). Can anyone help a guy out?

I have several carded Infaceables in zolo cases - I'd have to dig them out to see which case I used, but I believe they are the same ones I use for power lords carded figues. If you ask Mike at Zoloword, he will tell you which one to use. Just email support. They don't fit perfectly, but they are the best you will find short of buying a custom accrylic.
