I noticed today some very small diecast figurines that were characters from Dungeons & Dragons on the shelf. It was weird to see the D&D name in the toy aisle again. Would be nice to see actual figures down the road but that is probably a pipe dream.

I just saw those yesterday at Walmart myself. Didn't realize Jada was making them. I'm wondering if the "starter sets" are meant to coincide with Hasbro's D&D board game reboot.

Probably because I don't know why anyone would want these otherwise. I think D&D figures would sell if made today but maybe they would have to be more of specialty type of thing and not mass market.

Yeah, to be honest I think Hasbro might just now be realizing they should tap into D&D. When ya think if all the 80s toys that have been redone up to this point, I think D&D is one of the last ones. We got Robo Force before this... wtf?? They also are producing statues from the cartoon now so I wonder if figs are far behind.
