I haven't done much collecting the past few years but I have tried to collect some of the new Megos that are of interest to me such as Star Trek, horror, and musicians. I wouldn't mind seeing a line of Addams Family based on the 60's sitcom and The Monkees. I know FTC did The Monkees a few years back but I'm not a big fan of FTC product. Wal-Mart is now selling Megos so that is one perk of working there. I have been circling the "adult collectibles" aisle like a vulture waiting for some roadkill . I tore something in my knee so my "circling" has been more like "gimping" of late but I have been just trying to get better and avoid surgery. P.S.- Is there anyway I can directly link a pic directly from my own computer for a new avatar? I haven't been around the board for a while but I have noticed Photobucket is not wanting to host photos for free anymore.

There is a edit profile key if you click on your name and you can link a photo less than 1 MB.

Not sure on these myself, I think I would rather see a line like Super powers taken over with all new heroes and villains made for it.

I did my taxes a few weeks ago and not getting into a rant, the news was not good. I don't know where this puts my collecting of any figures right now other than indefinitely on hold so although I was one of the people asking where the heck is a TOS McCoy and Scotty from Mego the subject has been rendered academic at this point for me personally. I also wouldn't mind getting some of the Super 7 Monsters and POTA, if any new POTA were coming out, but I'm in a position where collecting is low man on the totem pole of my priorities right now.

Of course you realize that by announcing that you are putting your collecting efforts on hold means that the 10 most wanted/needed items will simultaneously become available at the same time on Ebay and be within your normal spending range.

Yeah, probably .

Back in 2018 when I first heard Mego was returning I was excited but skeptical since we had already seen Mego-like 8 inchers from other companies but I kept an open mind. My expectations have been pretty much subverted however for different reasons. One reason is distribution issues. Mego said it was going to mass market but you can't hardly find them anywhere in the wild. Go down the adult collectibles aisle at Wal-Mart and almost everything they have pegs for have at least some product on them except the pegs for Mego product. Another reason is character choice. They keep on saying there is reluctance to release TOS versions of Dr. McCoy and Scotty because their market research indicates they would be slow sellers. I'm not so sure about their market research because the nearest I can tell there are too many Megos to mention that have been released that have all the appearances of not selling well. Quite a few people are clamoring for McCoy and Scotty but who was clamoring for Tootie from Facts Of Life or the Impractical Jokers? There's five figures they could have scrapped easily and released McCoy and Scotty. I don't get it. The figures do mostly look good that get made and the price point of the figures. Those are two of the few positives I see in the situation so far.

I agree. They have a lot of damn licenses... but how many of them do people actually want to buy figures of?
