Man, those figures really take me back. I use to enjoy those commercials when they came on. I didnt have a huge collection of them, but i did have quite a few of them. I did have the wrestling ring. I little lever would wrap around the figures and two people could go at it . Not quite rockin sockin robot, but still pretty cool. I miss those guys....

Does any one go out of their way to identify them all and collect them as completest. I personally have a freezer bag full of them from when I was a kid and I still buy them when I see them at yard sales, thrift stores, and swap meets mainly cause they usually cost next to nothing. I have been told some go for tons of money. I have also seen a local guy here who gives them very detailed custo paint jobs and then tries to sell them for 30-50 dollars each.I just have good memories of buying them from Mervyn's or JC Penny's in the trash cans and small four packs. I didn't ahve a ring for them so I made one out of a shoe box, golf pencils, and rubber bands. It was fun. I personally liked the masked ones with spikes on their masks and vests as they reminded me of WWF Demolition. I would have them team up and take on the monster looking ones like the giant hand.

I have all 233 poster muscles in the flesh/pink color, the two ring figures, and a Satan Cross, I'm about 50 figures away from a second set in the various colors that came out later. One of my favorite things is the way there is always something else to collect after you finish what your working on. We'll see where I am when I hit the ones that start costing some real money.

I love M.U.S.C.L.E's! I remember getting a garbage can 10 pack like every time we went to this one store, my mom would always buy me one, then I'd trade my duplicates to my friends. I have like 50 pink ones loose, plus 3 sealed 4 packs (one flesh, one half and half and one colored). The rarest M.U.S.C.L.E figures are the magnificent 11, which one buyer found in a 24 pack. Those are super duper rare. Then there's "super rares" like Black Hole Sunshine, Geronimo, Spinning Head Ashura, etc, of which anywhere from 2-5 or so have been found. Satan Cross is rare, but nowhere near as rare as those guys, I usually see him go for $30-70. I've seen a colored Claw go for more than that (I can't remember what color, but I think it broke $100. I think it was either orange or blue). Anyway, I agree, it sucks to have to buy a lot for one or two figures, or get massively overcharged on Ebay buying them 1 at a time. The best bet I guess is to trade with other collectors here and on Little Rubber Guys. I'm still looking for a sealed all flesh garbage can to add to my collection, but I'm not about to pay $80-100 for it. Eventually I might bite the bullet and shell out $60-70, but that's about it.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMN!!!!!! $2258.55 for a little piece of rubber! That's a lot of money for such a small item! It's incredible what certain items fetch for. What are the other rare ones? Are they cataloged with numbers like the others?

The "super rares" are pretty much just that. This one is the only known example of that figure in MUSCLE plastic. Like other MUSCLE figures, it was originally released in Japan as a Kinnikuman figure. They are softer, more rubbery than the MUSCLEs. So, for the hardcore MUSCLE collector, it is the grail collectible. Something that rare is worth whatever people are willing to pay. Look at rare baseball cards for example; there is a much broader market there than MUSCLE figures, but people pay over a million bucks for a card - and there are several known to exist.

I have the light blue #153, Sunigator Shotai. He is pretty rare. All in all I have about 400 muscles, but non of the super-rares.

@terrible Tony, yeah, there's a list of the super rares and rares on Muscle University. The Magnificent 11 plus a couple others I think.

There are some cool figures that are pretty rare. I especially liked Brocken Jr. A little warning, though. When you search "The Magnificent Eleven" on google, beware the links that pop up!

This is still one of my favorite toy lines of all time. They got really creative with these. I remember spending hours of time setting them up in the grass outside of my house (creating battle scenes). When I was younger, firecrackers worked the best for explosions! LOL!

Got one of my grail items! (I know, not SUPER rare but fairly expensive and I collect so many lines it's been cost prohibitive as of late.): Sealed M.U.S.C.L.E 10 pack, in really great condition: And this collection is just INSANE. Gotta be the best collection on the planet. I mean, the Super rares are crazy enough, they're thousands and thousands of dollars for his collection of th9em, but on top of them he has the claw in every color, EIGHT spinning head Ashuramans, FIVE CARDED Satan Crosses, etc. wow.... muscle-world.tripod.com/collection.html...

Hi all.
Was wondering if anyone here has a collection of M.U.S.C.L.E. (millions of unusual small creatures lurking everywhere) figures?
I am looking for anyone who remembers this toy line?
It was my favorite toy line growing up due to the fact they were cheap and came in lots of different neon like colors, you could build a collection of 100 figures quite quickly

Still have a few dozen from my childhood. The claw was always my favorite. I remember I had a dude with six arms and his head spun around, he had 2-3 faces on him. I know kylefromdirtnap has a complete pinkie set and is working on a colored set now.

I'm missing 15 I believe from my flesh set. but, I've been only buying them at yard sales, flea markets, local buddies, or a few trades on forums (over the past few years).. I want to finish them up the old way, and not use ebay and any online sites to make the set.. Same with my Garbage Pail Kids cards..

I have a bunch of extras and I have them numbered; maybe I can help you complete your set. All of mine are the flesh colored so just let me know which ones you need and I will see what I have. Thanks, Shuptrine
