I have found a He-Man Talking Tooth Brush going through my old childhood things. It stills talks and works great. It is not in original packaging or anything. And it is missing 2 of the brushes. However it is in excellent condition and still has one brush end left as well as the handle that takes the battery (both red). I also don't know if the brush works yet because I don't have that size battery but the speaking part works fine. Does anyone know anything about these as far as value? EBay,Etst,Amazon,..... Nobody else seems to have one or willing to part with one. Thanks

Imo, merchandise that is tertiary to an action figure line is not in general worth any big bucks. $10-$20 if you wanna sell relatively quickly, $40 maybe if you wanna wait for somebody that's willing to pay that.

There is the he-man listed on eBay but it's only him without the castle stand and brushes and he appears to have his arm broken off. They were still asking $30!?? It sure made me curios and this item seems kind of rare. Thanks for your reply!

Let me put it like this: if you had or had sold dozens or hundreds of other He-man items there would be a half-ass chance you would sell this for $30 on ebay in a couple months. If you have this one He-Man toothbrush and a bunch of clay pots, china, Madame Alexander dolls, stamps, etc., you're never going to be seen. That is point A: you do not seem to get good search placement unless you somehow amass a bunch of watchers, a store or account specializing in a certain type of item, or you hit keywords strongly on multiple items on your account for some amount of time. $30 is on the outside realm of possibility.
Point B) this is not the type of thing people collect. Someone might pause on your listing if it is the right price for them, but what draws people to action figure related listings is complete and/or excellent condition figures and lots, lots that are accurately priced, MIB/MOC items, and rare items from the toyline. You could get lucky, but I doubt you are drawing any kind of interest for more than about $15 + shipping, and that might be pushing it. If you were to take this to a swap meet every week and price it at $20, someone might eventually talk to you after weeks, probably months, and haggle you down to $15.
It's hard to explain the dynamics to someone who does not follow and is not interested in these geeky properties. I see a lot of MOTU lots on eBay that are ridiculously priced. It doesn't matter how many naked incomplete figures and vehicles and playsets missing pieces and super common bits and bobs you have, you aren't going to get much more than $10-$15 per pound, and that is stretching it in some cases. And that is speaking about the figures which there is a high interest in, not satellite merchandise like old pajamas and pencil cases and whatnot. Follow me?

It sure made me curios and this item seems kind of rare. Thanks for your reply! There is a vast difference in the asking price and the final selling price usually unless it is an in-demand item. Make sure you check the "sold" listings rather than just the current listings. There may also be a He-man.com or something similar type site that would have items of this nature discussed.

Thank you for your honest input. It doesn't take 10 blubbering paragraphs and attempted belittling to come to the point of not sure. I assumed it was high but still can't find an actual assessment of what I have. Again thank you for the tips and pointers!

No one's belittling you.
Looking at sold listings, it seems it actually trends in the $30-50 range in similar condition. My bad! This dealie with the Grayskull base is not the piece I thought it was at all.

I would say it "depends on what it is" on the tertiary stuff. Super Powers branded merch tends to do pretty well. A genuine collector IS going to pay a decent price for something in decent condition.
Thor IS right about WHO can get the best price on stuff, generally. As I am doing my pricing website, the highest prices in each category tend to come from the same 1-2 sellers which specialize in each group.

Well I have tried a couple trusted dealers and still nobody can make heads or tails. Like you kinda said this may well be a niche item! Guess that's good if it doesn't pop right up on a search
