This figure is a recent purchase. It says "Chap Mei" on the bottom of one of its feet but I have no idea what line this could be from, had my doubts it was Chap Mei at first. The figure swivels at the mid section, which is not a common feature that company gives its figures generally.

From an Egyptian line, you can pop the top half of his body off and put it on a scorpion body. They had a ton of these a few years back at Gordmans.

I do not recall ever seeing these on any sites and even though I was laying low on collecting for a while I don't recall seeing these at any of the Gordmans around my area. The scorpion emblem made me wonder if it came out perhaps around the time of The Scorpion King movie since Chap Mei was mirroring trends with their figures for a while. I would be interested to see packaged examples of these.

I like the idea of the scorpion body, kind of like a centaur. Ok, I did some looking and it looks like this figure was part of that line that had the Indiana Jones type of guy in it, called Adventure Heroes as rocklord pointed out. I remember seeing all the individual figures in that line except for this figure itself.

It took a while but my memory's been jogged. I recall going into a Gordmans at seeing TONS of Chap Mei stuff, that being the last time I saw any outside of the TRU exclusive stuff. That was something like 2008 or 2009.

The series was ADVENTURE HERO and the character was named BOMANI. He was sold individually carded and in a boxed set with a giant scorpion that allowed the body parts swap. The line was available in the U.S. in 2008.
