brcthrift, DEFINITELY!! They did make a small line of Big Trouble in Little China figures, I've considered picking them up on Ebay but they usually go for a decent amount.

Good question! I know i've thought of tonnes before, but off the top of my head... I think my number 1 choice would be Monster Squad figures, i have such deep love for that movie. I always wanted good Back to the Future toys and figures. I'm a big fan of the jim henson movie Labyrinth, i'd love it if they made a bunch of characters and brian froud's goblins as toys. Also, the 1988 movie Willow, i know they made those small metal tonka figures, but i wish they did either like star wars or MOTU size figures for them. The movie wasnt really a hit, so i understand why.

Gotta say that I was just poking around this site and I came across this post and it inspired me to create an account based on what I think would be some great figures. Monster Squad figures might be hard to do with obtaining all of the rights to the classic monsters that appeared in the film but the other characters would be great, Sean, Patrick, Del, Phoebe...and yes the name is Horace (cock the shotgun). Would love this. Anyway, I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy this forum. I dunno, they never got the licence to use the Universal Studios Monsters, that's why they - especially Frankenstein's Monster and the 'creature from the black lagoon' - look so different, so I THINK they'd almost certainly be included in a Monster Squad licence for no extra charge, in fact it might cost extra to get some of the humans (worth every penny, I want a Horace dammit, how else can i re-enact the Wolfman's got 'nards scene?) in they didn't sign the right contracts. I think about this sometimes (dream figures that is, well and behind-the-scenes Monster Squad stuff) and as I'm an (obsessively) large Sonic the Hedgehog fan I'd vote a line dealing with all the 'other' characters - characters from the cartoons, from the American and British comics and the Sega characters that have been retired - as top of my dream list. Now that would be hard to do with the rights - the Sonic the Comic characters (from the aforementioned British comic) are owned by their creators and then there's Ken Penders and his characters...no one seems sure what would be required to licence those since the court case, but it'd be so worth it (to me, anyway). I'd also really like a Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks (and Kendo Nagasaki too actually), whole isles of wrestlers I can't stand and not one little peg for our old wrestlers - sob. and they're just the first two I can think of.

Playmates did a great job with their 4.5" & 9" Star Trek line, but they kinda ruined things when they started messing around in different scales. They made 6" First Contact figures, 7" Space Talk figures, and finally a slew of 12" figures... So there are weird inconsistencies like there's a 9" Data as Sherlock Holmes & Geordi as Watson and a 12" Kirk as a Romulan, but they never made them in their base 4.5" line. Towards the end they were doing a lot of rehashes too to save money on new sculpts because production runs had become so small. I used to have a list of figures I was hoping they would make, but that's long gone.
I guess my dream would be for Playmates to get the license again and go back and make all the 4.5" figures they weren't able to before. Ruk would be great. I love that character. Mr Homn would also be cool. I would love to have a Kirk and Shahna thrall 2-pack from the Gamesters of Triskelion, Pike in his wheelchair, Ezri Dax, classic romulans, full Mirror, Mirror set (they only made Spock in 4.5"), a 3-pack of Data/Holmes, Geordi/Watson & Moriarty... 4.5" Enterprise figures... there are probably more than a hundred cool figures they could make without getting silly. They could remake a few they really goofed on too, like the classic Andorian and Trelane..
I'm also still waiting for someone to make the perfect Andre the Giant figure. I'm not sure what that would be. Maybe a 6" Remco style, or a 12" with GI Joe articulation... but whatever it is he better be true to scale in all his chubby latter year glory.
Speaking of 80's icons, another dream would be for Remco to come back and redo their Conan line based completely on the Arnold movies. I want several different Arnolds, James Earl Jones & his 2 warrior henchmen (with temple and showdown playsets!), Sandahl Bergman, Mako, Grace Jones, Wilt Chamberlain... man, I loved those movies

I bought the fairly recent Mattel Andre and while it's good, it's still lacking something and on the Conan thing, i'd like Masters of the Universe Classics-style versions of Remco's short line, as well as their Lost World of the Warlord and Warrior Beasts line, and Galaxy Warriors, and Galaxy Fighters, and Spec-la-tron and...(you get the idea)

I think a historical / mythological line would be awesome. Pick and choose from Greece, Rome, Persia, China, etc. Then have mythological animals/warriors to go with it. I've been waiting years for a good line like that to come along. I really wish Chap Mei would tackle it. I thought of it a long time ago already, but I gave up hoping on that...

I saw pics in ToyFare magazine of what figures would have been made in that scale had they got the license renewed in 1999 and Bele and the Salt Vampire were among them.

with these retro figures that are being made lately I would just really love to see the advertised but never released V tv series figures done. as well as the galoob star trek figures. and the butch and sundance/real west figures.
as far as other properties that have never been made there are too many I would want. I would definitely love to see well done THE WARRIORS figures though.

I would like to see a 4" scale Legends Of The West-type of series come out. I've been clamoring for that for years though.

ReAction is releasing some Escape From New York figs soon. I believe they are available for pre-order now, and will be released in August. I'm also pretty certain there was a toy line made of Big Trouble in Little China, though they are pretty hard to find now.

I'd probably buy a Marquis toy based on Guy Davis's art or a Catwoman figure sculpted after Darwyn Cookes design.

I love robots, monsters, and aliens, so toylines from the Howie Mandel movie Little Monsters, the main dude from Brainscan, maybe Charles Bands' Arena or Robot Jox or like 90% of the crappy Full Moon pix of the 80s and 90s (I know they did Puppet Master, was never actually a fan), Last Starfighter, Enemy Mine... so much good from the 80s.
Some other stuff I wish they had more modern or easily accessible figures (like 6-7" figs with good accessories and articulation or preferably like Mezco One:12): V, The Thing, American Werewolf, Xtro. Would also love some modernized versions (modern as in the figures themselves, not the look of the characters) of 50s-60s sci-fi like Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, Planet of the Vampires, Forbidden Planet, The Green Slime, Commando Cody, etc.
I wouldn't mind western figs myself, even if they are generic, but maybe from the Red Dead series or something.

(I know they did Puppet Master, was never actually a fan), Last Starfighter, Enemy Mine... so much good from the 80s. This month last year that Roddy Piper passed away, so recently watched 'They Live' and 'Hell Comes to Frogtown'. Naturally my mind wandered to imaginings of figures from these films. Also, we live in a world with action figures based on Kevin Costner, Mozart and porn actors. How is there no Subotai from Conan the Barbarian?

Also, we live in a world with action figures based on Kevin Costner, Mozart and porn actors. How is there no Subotai from Conan the Barbarian? I feel like it's only a matter of time before someone makes They Live figures. I don't think anyone should be legitimizing Donald G. Jackson's work with merchandise cuz he might decide to make movies again. If I accidentally saw Rollergator 2: Rollergator meets the Roller Blade Seven at 2 am on Cinemax I might lose my will to live. Although Frogtown seems kinda perfect for action figures, and also is his least horrible film. Subotai is a good one. Has there ever been a Sandahl Bergman action figure?? She defo deserves to be immortalized in plastic. Cybil Danning too. I'm all for a line of Hot Toys 1/6 figures from Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf!

Tsk tsk! After all they've done for you guys!
I need figures of all the icons of crap cinema really--Robert Ginty, Linda Blair, Franco Nero, Eric Roberts, about 38 versions of Wings Hauser (especially evil pimp w/ wire hanger accessory), Richard Lynch, Linnea Quigley, Gary Daniels with special kickfighting action, the entire cast of Ninja III: The Domination... the list is ENDLESS.

I did not stay long with it. She and two guys were rescuing another woman and formed a defensive circle around her. The head bad guy told his minions to let them go. They got outside and SB started digging a hole outside of a mine field. That was enough.

I did see one guy in a Nazi helmet and another with a Swastika on the back of his vest, but otherwise was not aware of what they were there for. Likely they all died in the end at the hands of the heroine, Sandahl.

They were supposed to make a The Lord of Darkness from the film "Legend" Did they ever make this? There were a couple versions of this character made. * Movie Maniacs by McFarlane Toys 2002 (later re-released without accessories) * Now Playing by Sota Toys 2006? The 'Now Playing' Lord of Darkness looks to be a lot nicer than the McFarlane version (no surprises there), it includes sound samples from the film. I think they can be a bit of an expensive acquisition now. Shoulda' picked one up when I saw it cheap on the rack at my comic store - story of my life ;P

I would like to see a DST or DST type of 7" Addams Family action figure line since DST did The Munsters a few years ago. Figures based on the original series, not the cartoon or 90's movie versions.
