We'll I'm another step further in completing this line as the Tig & Sise Fromm figures I won on Ebay arrived the other day. Still need C3P0 & Uncle Gundy. My local Flea Market has a Gundy without his weapon. I am tempted to buy it for $12, but where the hell am I ever going to find the gun.

ya I would not buy it unless you just want it for a space filler and it is fairly inexpensive. I cannot belive how valuable some of these figures have become, you used to be able to buy them in the package for like 20.00. Now loose figures go for that much.

I only have one figure from the Droids line. Kez-Iban. I removed him fresh from the card a while back. The only problem is that his torso is slightly yellowed from the amber-ish bubble that was affixed to the card.

I kick myself for the deals I've passed up over the years now that I have to pay double, triple, or even beyond that price on eBay. If only time travel were possible...but then I assume you'd just go back to 1985 and buy them for $2 rather than $25 in the 90s.

Yep, thats it. I remember my local channels repeating the Droids and Ewoks cartoons over and over untill i was so sick of them. Now, what I wouldn't give for an official DVD box set release.

OK, Now I remember!! I used to watch it but didn`t find it that interesting because it didn`t have much to do with the movies. It was more of a time filler. lol

a loose gundy with no gun for $12 sounds like a good deal to me. I would have grabbed it up.

I went to check out the Flea Market the other day amd it was pretty funny! The dealer actually raised the price of Gundy to $22. He had it listed for $12 for at least 2 years, i don't know why he would think that now it would sell for $22

Hey,
Was C3PO reprinted in the ROTJ or POTF series? Just wondering as I want one MOC that will match my ewoks as he is the "God" like figure to the Ewoks so I think he is needed in my MOC collection of Ewoks as he is an honroary Ewok in my books.

C-3PO was re-tooled for his release in the ESB, ROTJ, and POTF lines so that he had removable limbs and came with a vinyl bag that could fit on Chewbacca's back. The figure's sculpt is the same minus the joints which were fixed so that they could pop out. The paint remained the same from its Star Wars release to the end of the POTF run - although some figures tend to be more silver than Gold (a super gold version seems to be less common than a silver one, but I'm not sure if this is due to age or if some just had different paint batches at the factory). The figure was again re-tooled for the Droids Cartoon Series, in which they kept the removable limbed version, took away the bag, and repainted him bright yellow and blue.

Are the figs of the A-wing pilot and Boba Fett from the droids line the same from the regular 80's Star Wars line, or are there slight differences. I know the above figs carded on Droids cards fetch a good penny, but I am collecting them loose so really only care if they are the same. I think they are the same but I just want to double check

I've never seen anything that sets the Boba and A-wing pilot apart loose from their Droids counterparts. As far as I know they're exactly the same. No price catalogue I know of has ever made a distinction on the loose figures.
There is the Boba variant ': dark blue ESB version with 'Hong Kong'on the right leg, versus light blue tri logo version with marks where the words would have been. The latter I've seen go for more than the former, but I couldn't tell you which one appeared on the Droids card. I feel the Tri Logo figure looks better with the Droids figure because of its lighter colours. But that's arbitrary of course.

The Vlix figure was only released in Brazil. In the 2005 Star Wars Official Price Guide Vlix is priced at $700 loose and $3500 moc. Good luck if anyone gets one.

Vlix would be a nice find, though your right Ludevig, it ain't gonna happen outside of Ebay and not without paying a ton of $$$ for him.

The guy that won that was Danny Matthews. He owned a collectible toy shop in St. Louis and was a good friend of mine. He passed away a few years ago. I remember him winning that, and he turned around and sold it for around $2500 as I recall.

Wow talk about a good winning bid. When I read up on Vlix I obviously was misinformed. Until now I thought it was only released briefly by mistake in Canada. I learned something new.
About Boba variations there are pretty many but I can't tell if there is a difference between Droids line and the normal ones. Trilogo Boba varies a lot by the paint scheme of the dart and knee patch. I recently sold my unpained knee, painted dart. I believe that is the rarer of them and it sells much higher then the other two what I can tell.

Wow^^^. I've never even seen that Bondo prototype. (or the Wee Chee). Amazing collection. I know Brians Toys had or still has a carded Vlix that was some priced at $10,999 if I remember correctly. (and a graded loose one for around $5000.

I paid $3500 for my loose Vlix years ago. It is the US prototype version, not the Glasslite. Honestly, there are guys out there that have recast this figure in plastic, and it's very close to the real thing for a WHOLE lot less money. I couldn't justify the expense for this figure any more with the quality recasts that are available.
