these were very bravestarr-like cosmic cowboys with rubber guns that even when they came out were starting to weld themselves into their hard plastic holsters the villain was a cyborg guy in a cloth overcoat, and there was a cool bird headed alien guy-i have not seen any on ebay but i remember them having their own comic book in the 80s

I always enjoyed the cartoon series, and even had a few of the figures, but my mom threw them out years ago. Can not wait to see the section when you get it ready 10incher.

Galaxy Rangers are pretty cool indeed. A relatively tough line to collect. I liked the toon, but was never aware of the figures as a kid. I don't think they were distributed in the US-so I guess I had a good excuse for my ignorance.

The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers were made by Galoob in 1986 and they look like they would go well with the Bravestarr line. I think they had their own cartoon series as well. Some of the villians are actually pretty cool and they look well made. I have never run into any of these figures as of yet but check out pics here

i too kinda see it as a knockoff but the show was pretty big when it was on. its more of an expanded universe of galatic cowboys. good show but never cared much for the toys. havent seen too many in the wild either

Galaxy Rangers is a really cool line, and I don't think it's a knockoff from Bravestarr or any other line. It's just another 80's cartoon with a space theme, like Silverhawks, Saber Rider, etc.
By the way, those figures are just european release or they have an american counterpart?? I'm looking for it on the ebay since some time ago and never found anything.

They were never released in America. Only the UK.

I found one in a thrift store in Kansas City about 2 years ago....I think it's still at my parents house out there. Pretty sure it was the Zach character, I know he had blone hair

I found this pic on a website dedicated to the galaxy rangers. Collection belongs to some guy called The General. Anyways, it's by far the best GR collection i've ever seen. Enjoy.

Man I hate that guy with that awesome collection. Galaxy Rangers is one toyline I'd love to collect one day, but I know that when I do, it's going to cost an arm and a leg heh.

I've been watching this show lately, and it really is ahead of its time. The plots are generally much more adult and mature than most shows even today. The artwork is fantastic, even with scenes that shouldn't require much. I'm really surprised this how never took off. Some of the villians are down right scary, the Scarecrow guy to name one. (I forget his name right now)

Honestly VL, I think it comes down to the similarities with Bravestarr. Both toy concepts were pretty similar and with Bravestarr there were more playsets and vehicles. Had it been out at a different time, I suspect it would have done much better than it did.

One tres awesome show! I couldn't get enough of it ... literally. Then poof, it just vanished. A few o' my friends watched it. But basically no-one I know now remembers it. The show deserves more credit. I wouldn't consider it a knock-off, I think it had it's own legs. It just missed the mark ... somehow.

So did they make a spaceship vehicle for this line? Is that a custom in that collection or a real ship? That thing looks amazing!

Anyone else watch that prototype Niko on ebay lately? Absolutely awesome. I wish I had money to throw at that auction. $1,025.00 was the final price. That's a pretty good price too if you ask me. One of a kind pieces in as good shape as that, kudos to whoever won it!

Yep, been watching it as well, super cool piece! Doesn't look like the reserve was met though at that price. Here's a few pics:

That figure is so awesome. The accessories are cool too. If that had been the McCross, or that enemy soldier figure prototype, I'm afraid I wouldn't have been jumping on it no matter what!
On a side note, I'd really like to see how the vehicle looks on the inside. That vehicle rocks!

I wish I had the cash laying around to jump on this guy, but I figure'd this image would do well here. What an amazing figure if it has been produced.

Yikes. It's crazy because if I jumped on that, I'd have to sell everything in my collection basically. I already sold most of my stuff for some other prototypes, so I don't think I can do it for this guy. (Although this is a truly awesome piece). Now if we see a Tigersharks Octavia ever pop, it's game over for me. I'll live out of a shoe box for that one.
