It was a 3 3/4" figure line released by Pac Toys in the 80s just after the Mego company went under. Most of the figures were based on Micronauts molds. I have an Emperor Dementia MOC figure. Here is a pic of the cardback. Check out an awesome Website about these figures at Innerspace Online

I sort of remember these things. You put the glow stick in the figures chest, right?

I remember those being on the shelves when he-man was getting big, and i asked my mom a few times for one and she said, "No, they are garbage... get a He-Man figure " My mom was such a closet MOTU freak! LOL

Yep it is Emperor Dementia I have MOC. Bought him on Ebay a number of years back, I think I got him for $10 or so, real cheap. Interestingly enough he must be the common figure of the bunch. I picked him up at a toy show a few years ago. Guy wanted $10 but I got him down to $6 I've been watching for others ever since but have never seen any

The last few MOC ones I saw sold for quite a bit on Ebay. it wasn't that long ago I bought mine and no one bid on it. Maybe just a few collectors bidding against each other (Micronauts fans?). Cool figures but not worth $170 for 1 figure I would think. Looks like the aliens would be the most sought after.

Found an article on MegoMuseum about Pac Toys (the creators of Lords of Light), how they started out and what happened to them: www.megomuseum.com/misc/pactoys.shtmlA pretty interesting read.

A cool read, and an awesome looking toy concept/line. Given it's supposed rarity i'm surprised there's not more talk of these toys. Does anyone know how much of this line was released? Vehicles? Looks like a possible playset on the back of one of the cards, released? Anyone have anymore pics of these? Thanx.

This is the first minty Lords of Light I have seen in awhile listed on ebay, it sold for $250.00 i also prefer the site linked below for any micronauts related items and micronauts themselves, instead of megomuseum as it seems alot more complete: www.innerspaceonline.com/lolhome.htmI never heard of these guys until I watched the micronauts heading under the ebay listings. There are so many toys out there that could be relaunched using old molds like these guys were. Here is a cool write up i found also: Ray Miller (of the Micropolis Embassy mailing list) has confirmed in an interview with one of the lines designers that almost all the products on the back of the Lords of Light card were indeed produced, albeit the numbers unknown. The only known ones to surface so far have been the four Evilite figures, most of which were modified Micronaut Aliens. The card back shows that many more modified Micronauts products were going to be used, but to this day their existence is still a mystery.has anyone ever seen anything other than the 4 ones listed above?

This is my favorite line of all time. I had every single one growing up and even some doubles. There is an Emperor Dementia variant and I had that too lol. I've been watching this auction since the first day it was put up actually. The auction was mentioned on the Mego forums I am on as well. I have been looking for Lords of Light stuff for 6 months or so now since I started trying to get back my toy collection and I have seen several of them pop up. I saw another carded Topen a few months ago but the card was cut off on top. This recent Nepos' card is damaged as well but so essentially the same deal. Ive also seen a carded Toriac and Nepos in the last 4 months. I've seen several carded Emperor Dementias. I saw a loose Emperor Dementia go for $19.99 with free shipping recently as well. I don't think they are as rare as some people make them out to be but yes still pretty scarce. I am a firm believer that they never truly released anything but the Evilites. There were Lords of Light in the commercial which I imagine are out there somewhere but I have never seen any evidence of anyone owning anything but Evilites.

The carded Topen went for just under $250. Too rich for my blood but if I had the money I probably would have kept up with that. Maybe geomagno got it, that would make me feel better .

He's the last Lords of Light figure I need but yeah way to much for me for the figure. I passed on one at $200 a few years back as it was more than I wanted to pay, even back then. Looks like at this rate of inflation, the next one will go for $300 though

Do you have any photos of the three you do have??

I also have a sneaking feeling that the max bid was still a lot more than what it ended at. I tell you what though, If I had won I would have opened that puppy up the minute it arrived!

Prices on these have gone through the roof on Ebay over the last month. Because of this, other sellers are listing theirs as well. Since their are a few more poping up now, the prices are starting to stabilize a bit.
