I don't remember how old I was, maybe 5, but the first Star Wars toy I ever owned was the Landspeeder. I don't know who or where i got it from but I still have it today on my shelf. I was one of the lucky ones whos parents never garage saled off my childhood stuff (we lived on a farm).

As a kid, my parents got me the entire first series of figures, like han solo, stormtrooper etc, the land of the jawas, and the death star station. I ordered the mailaway display stand and my parents friend gave my brother and me both landspeeders. Still have the figures and the death star station with box.

The first SW toy I got was a figure(can't remember which one). I didn't get any actual vehicles/playsets until Christmas of '83. I made out pretty well: battle damaged tie-fighter, bd x-wing, y-wing, speeder bike, at-st, Jabba's figure/playset, ewok villiage, numerous figures, a rotj watch, belt and cloths.

My father informed me this week that my first figure was a Darth Vader.
Bought it on a road trip from Chicagoland to Washington D.C. in 1978.
Found it visiting relatives in Bellevue, Ohio & I've got pictures somewhere of me with it in Jamestown, Pennsylvania. ;D

Yeah, I had opened all of them and played with them. Sadly, My mother sold them in the garage sale in 4 years later. So, I started Star Wars collection growing last year on July 3rd, 2004. (1ST anniversary Star Wars collection! ) I remember when I was in the bathtub and played with them in bubble bath. ;D

I had probably 40-50 figures which formed the cornerstone of my collection. I also had the Millenium Falcon and a X-wing. One of my favorite memories is my parents taking me to my first garage sale right accross the street from our house when I was 4 or so. They had bags of loose figures for 1.00 each and each had 5-6 figures, as well as a millenium Falcon for 5.00. My mother bought me 3 bags of figures and my father went back later in the day after I pestered him non stop and got me the falcon.

I had only a Jawa and R2 D2 new and a few figures my mom bought me at a garage sale a few years after the movie. My parents always bought me Micronauts when all my buddies had heaps of SW figures. I loved the Micronauts back then and the only thing I hate about Micronauts now is that I can't find them too easy.

I wish I would have left my Luke Stormtrooper and Han Carbonite on the cards. I remember ripping them open when I got them, thinking they were cool, and putting my Star Wars toys away (until I pulled them out 10 years later). At least they are mint loose figures.

1979 loose Dewback. I found it in the bottom of a box full of toys in the local flea market back in Spring 1990. I didn't know what it was at all, but since i liked it and it was only 1$, I bought it. It was only in July 2007 that I finally knew what it was. Today, I'm the happy owner of both a loose Dewback and a loose Taun-Taun.

Mine was the first set of 10 figures or so, it came with a long cardboard base and a space scene background. I remember it had these little white clips that had a peg that went into the feet and then twisted into holes in the cardboard that kept them standing. The luke skywalker had the double extending lightsaber. I still have the Luke figure but no longer the lightsaber or the cardboard base. I've looked for the lightsaber I even found an old image of it

I was 4 or 5, and it was the Vintage Twin Pod Cloud Car and Han Solo in Hoth Gear. I still have the Cloud Car to this day, but my dog made Han a double amputee, so I had to get a new Solo.

C3PO was my first EVER action figure at age 5. I saw SW figures one day at a Kmart about 25 miles from my house. I had no idea what they were but I knew they were awesome & I wanted some! Sadly that was not to be. We were kinda (ok, not kinda) poor & even one figure was not in the days budget.A week or so later my dad had to go in that area again for his job & randomly picked up a SW figure. 3PO was the lucky figure. I remeber going down to the station where my dad worked & sitting on the step, where I opened my very 1st SW figure. That was the start of a total obsession for years.

I believe it was an Empire Strike's Back Hoth Luke that I got used at a fundraiser to support a local private school. They always had GREAT used toys there, and that's the first Star Wars related one I remember having. I either got Jabba at the same time or a year later. I must have been about 4 at the time.

Mine was a couple of figures that i remember vaguely having. Snowtrooper and the AT-AT driver. My brother had a huge Star Wars collection but since i was born in 1977 i didn't know about Star Wars until i was about 4 or 5. Empire Strikes back is the line of figures where i got my start. Then along came the Return of the Jedi figures and they are hands down the BEST Star Wars figures out, ever.

Personnally, what I like about the late 1990's Star Wars toy lines is that they released a whole variety of toy creatures. You see, in 1979, I think only four creatures were released; but since 1997, we see plenty of creatures. Last year, i took advantage of it by getting myself a beautiful Ronto on Ebay at low price.

Since the action figures and vehicles weren't released until 1978 due to the success of Star Wars taking everyone by surprise, I believe the first Star Wars toy I owned was a lightsaber, which was just a flashlight with Star Wars graphics on it and a inflatable "saber" that fit on the end of the flashlight.

The earliest ones I bought were Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Artoo, & Threepio. I bought them in my mom's hometown of Estherville, Iowa at the old Ben Franklin store. The family was there during the summer of '78 to clean out and sell Grandma Wolden's house(she passed away a couple of months earlier). We had a combination auction & family reunion. Grandma W. had an old skool laundry chute which lead to a bucket of dirty water in the basement which became the DS garbage chute when I tossed Luke, Han, Leia, & Chewie into it. Classic fun. Those were the first of the action figures. The first vehicle I got was the landspeeder. I got that for my birthday later that year. I had a hamster at the time, so I used to give him rides in the 'speeder, then he'd leave a little gift or to for me to clean out of the thing. Vintage Luke was not happy. LOL!
