Here's something to gnaw on... Won it off my old friend, yet bitter enemy Mr. EBay. Came from Argentina, if that means anything. I had seen many odd dinosaur guy KOs around. It was really hard to find evidence of any type of packaging...at least finding someone willing to show it off. There you go. The name...SHOCKING!!! So original! I would have never guessed! ............I'm being sarcastic............ Even better? The back of the card. Not the standard black and white print as with the various MOTU KO figures like Galaxy Warriors or Combo Hero or whatever. Shiny...colorful...wow. Let the discussion commence. There he is loose and free...he actually fell right out of the package into my lap as I removed it from the shipping carton. Whoops...like I care. I knew it was cracked and stuff to begin with. I'm still stepping on plastic shards in my bare feet! Cleaning is for doopie heads. I'm sure there's a few folks here with more input on these [wink, wink].

I knew I should have scarfed him when I saw him and the Lord of Insects. I went for the 2 Madison body guys instead . He looks to be painted with only the finest Q-Tips money could buy , lol . Someone said they were Reptilian Fighters ? The gentleman is also a habitual liar though . I think they really mixed it up with the bodies and heads on these ,and the trolls and the cavemen Galaxy line . I only have this one , but the colors were pretty sweet . Robbie the Dino Lucha !!! I think the one above was a knock off of the boss from the show " Dinosaurs" and mine was the son in the lettermans jacket.

heres my two Dino Warriors on the far right. My teenager has different colored pants than Meaty's and my boss has an entirely different paint app than Counts... which makes me wonder how many variations and series of KOs of Kos there were of these guys. The Brown guy in the middle is from an unknown line and Ive been told (but have no proof) that the stiff legged guys (the first 3) are called Dino Fighters/Heroes (like Galaxy Fighters/Heroes). So many mysteries... but thanks Count for identifying atleast two of them! and Im pretty sure I posted this here a few months back, but heres my shot by shot comparison of the TV show Dinosaurs. Man, I hope they made a Baby one.

The gold/silver bodies ones were released with the gross amish / caveman heads with no weapons as Galaxy Warriors with no weapons or armor. At least the one carded I had didn't have anything. The card art was really busy and brightly colored and the plastic is BRUTALLY fragile . I think they all have the huge hole in the heads also like Troll ones .

Here in Germayn we had another Dino-toyline. They all had the same molds for the bodies, but the arms and legs were straighter than the Galaxy Fighters. I had some sort of Styraco-Fighter. He was all brown from head to legs and had a sword, shield and armor.
I believe it was from "Simba Toys", but I'm not sure about that. I absolutely do not remember the name of the line. Does anybody else remember some of those?

Hmmm...I know Simba made some sweet stuff, some really cool trolls with End of Time armor. There are many unIDed dino men out there, I'm sure someone'll post a pic.

Okay...I dunno how many of you collectors are total eBay hounds, but thanks to some recent auctions some packaged samples of a different type of Dino Warriors figures recently went off. If you collect the various Masters of the Universe knock off guys, you know there are a kajillion figures that use the old Sewco/Sungold body molds and what not, right? The dino-headed guys have been a mystery to many for years it seems. Now, a member had shown this guy off below a while back and I got it off of him, not knowing what it was...I just plain liked it. Here he is: Now, you might be saying, "Hey, butt-for-brains...this guy ain't no dinosaur man! He's got a weird ram head! FAAAKE!!!". Eh, not really. Again, thanks to seeing a packaged sample on an auction, I and many other collectors found out this guy is from another line of Dino Warriors. Okay, maybe not...but I'll explain. Apparently the Dino Warriors line I'm talking about now was released by a company called Hang Yip. I do not own a packaged figure, but I'm hoping anyone who does will show it off. This guy seems to have a ram hat on...kinda like those knit caps kids or hipsters wear these days with novelty animal head designs. I had thought he'd have been from some Greco-Roman myth inspired line of MOTU knock offs originally. The Hang Yip one had blue shorts and armor, while this guy's gear is read (oh, and the armor was different). Now this guy is definitely a Hang Yip Dino Warrior...and odd gorgon guy. You know, Medusa? She was that snake-haired lady that turned people to stone? I had seen this guy only ONCE in the past. I saw him before I owned the ram guy and assumed he was part of the same line. That gorgon guy had the same red clothes...only this guy I have now is all green with blue boots and red armor (by the way, you may have seen the armor used in a wild west themed line kinda like a Bravestar KO before...I forget the name of the line off the top of my head). Anyway...EUREKA! I knew they were brethren! A loose auction was floating around until days later the packaged sample popped up. Not to brag, but I'm glad I got my loose one considerably cheaper. He may not be that exciting to some, but if you look closely he has snake hair with pinkish highlights. Now, are the red armored/clothed guys variations or part of some other line...just reused for this one or maybe even made up after this Hang Yip set? Only time (and seeing a packaged sample) will tell. Odd that two guys with a Greco-Roman theme got shoved into a line called Dino Warriors. The ram guy made me think of Jason and the Golden Fleece...well, azure fleece in this case, and a gorgon (Medusa). The rest of the four guys were dinosaur themed with techno-armor and the usual Galaxy style KO weapons. Again, hopefully someone who owns packaged ones will show 'em off. Part of me still wants to believe there is a MOTU knock off line of weird guys from Greek mythology out there...maybe a cyclops or a minotaur guy or something may be out there, eh? The name Warlords of Atlantis has been thrown around yet remains unconfirmed, so maybe.

The armor on the Hang Yip guy is kinda chintzy plastic...you can see I haphazardly fixed the side strap with medical tape. A word of warning to ham-handed collectors...not made of the more rubbery plastic like a lot of the original Galaxy Warriors or Fighters.

I love the crazy names that Simba puts on their figures. Rick Dragon is my personal favorite. I think I went to high school with that guy.
