Well, I was finally able to pick up a USS Flagg playset w. Keel Haul yesterday. Got it at a local collectable shop for $280 with tax and a Tomahawk thrown in for free. It is in great shape and is only missing a few parts - 1 deck clip, 1 antenna, mast cap, a guard railing, hook & string from the crane and a few other small parts. It didn't have the loudspeaker sound system with it either. Still I am pretty stoked! This thing is huge, I really have to move stuff around to try and set it up in my toy room. Anyone else out their own a Flagg?

Whoa, a Flagg. That's gotta be impressive in person. I have never seen one in real life but for some reason the figure that came with it, Keel Haul, I have owned several times. not sure why he's relatively easy to find loose, for I can't imagine the ship sold in huge numbers. I don't really collect Joe for its vehicles though, so it's not at the top of my list of big playsets to pick up. But sheer for its existence alone it is so impressive! You should be happy you found one finally. Parts of it show up online regularly, so you shouldn't have too much trouble completing it.

I actually found mine at a Goodwill here in Iowa for $8 - this was about 7 years ago - it was missing a lot of the small pieces but I haven't had much problem tracking them down. I was more than happy to shell out a mere $8 for something so cool. It even still had the original box with it - I had to throw it away - it was messed up pretty good.

Congrats sir, I owned it once for several years but had to down size for a while when I was still active duty. I bought it for 100 dollars and sold it for $175. I wish I had paid storage now instead, all these years, because getting it back for a decent price in good condition like yours will be hard. I will not make that mistake again - put in two sheds with air a couple years ago into my back yard and opened my extra apartment into an addition so now I can hunt it down again someday.
Yours sounds great and you will have to share pics of it, my only pic is not digital so I will have to scan it.
Again congrats!!!

I don't know about the Flagg , my neighbor has one and to me it really doesn't display well to me. I thought about maybe having one and making a glass coffee table around it or something.

The hardest part to find for the flagg is the mast cap....I saw one go for 200 alone on ebay once. There is someone out there that makes a repo version. My freind bought the repo version for his flagg an it looks great could not tell the difference in color and so on...that may be the route for you.
There are a couple of versions of the Keel Haul including a mail away version that is as easy to find as wild bill. I think the mail away version did not have his silver patch on his arm and did not come with his pistol
I have Keel Haul complete with pistol, but no flagg.

The FLAGG is sort of like Jessica Alba... I haven't seen one in person, but I want it all the same. One day I shall have her... I mean it.
Seriously, it's on the list but I'm trying to build up my overall Joe collection first.
Congrats, 10incher! Enjoy!

Congrats! The Flagg is one of the only Joe items I don't have from the 82-94 line. I had 2 chances when I was a kid to buy them at yard sales, the first one was $8, it was pretty dirty looking, the 2nd was $11. I wish I would have bought them both. The Tomahawk was always a favorite of mine, it's awesome & pretty realistic. Enjoy them both!

mate, I know it was four years ago but that is a great score. I have a Flagg, it's mostly complete but it was a mission to find an affordable (yeah right) one, ship it here, and try to find the missing parts. I'd like to finish her a little more one day but for now it's great. The Tomahawk is also brilliant, I can't believe they threw that in! fantastic.

and yes, there was a mail-away admiral that didn't come with the gun. so I guess the gun is the smallest part to the Flagg.

Saw a sweet complete USS Flagg with original box here in Las Vegas at a local toy shop guy wants way too much for it. My God, I cant recall how much it retailed back then for at local retail stores?
