Anyone ever have any favorite ride-on toys as a kid (or adult)? Anyone have any neat stories to tell. I dunno, was just thinking about these kinds of toys before.
Me? I have fond memories of the Knight Rider car my two brothers and I shared. I don't really remember actually liking the show, but the car was cool. You could open the plastic hood...it had the light-up thingie on the front...was foot-powered, but got you around in style! Too bad I often jammed my achilles tendons trying to "Flintstone" it instead of pedaling properly...ouch!
I also apparently had some stupid General Lee ride-on as a really small child...baby, really. I don't even remember it. My parents often told me the tale of how they bought me this thing...how I repeatedly fell backwards on it in the store and bawled, yet they still purchased it...and I still fell over in the damn thing at home...also repeatedly. Thanks, mom. Thanks, dad. I could have been a genius.

Dude, I had a toy growing up that I have NEVER seen in my travels looking for one. It was a plastic four small-wheeled lion ride on toy, probably only a couple of feet long. It was yellow and orange colored and had a bar in the back for pushing but you could also sit on its top and push with your legs. The front of the toy was a big plastic lion's head. The coolest part was it had a flip up lid seat under you that you could store stuff as you walked around. It was great for pushing around the yard and stopping to put any "treasures" found along the way inside the seat. I had this when I was very small so it was most likely late 70's. I have no idea what brand it was or what it was called but man that thing was sweet. Later I had the big wheels which I loved till it literally fell apart (only after years of hard use) but that Lion was my first taste of wheeled freedom.

Ha. Badass photo Joey. I was a big fan of the MoTU Road Ripper three wheel peddle rider. That thing was definitely a favorite of my two bros and mine. I sorta wish I still had it. It'd be awkward as hell to ride but I'd give it a whirl.

I had a couple Big Wheels, can't recall what they were, one was purple and yellow, and a spring horse on a stand in the back yard named Blaze. I was skateboarding at a really young age (2nd grade) since I had a friend who was 3 years older that taught me how to skate, so that was more my thing in 4th grade on.
