Hey peeps,
I got a MUSCLE figure in a lot and one of his legs is really misshapen. I've had a real good look at him and its definitely not from heat or bending it, its a production flaw. There's a part on his leg thats thinner than the rest and it somehow made his leg all bendy-wendy. I had a ton of these back in the day and they were more or less all perfect. Has anyone else experienced this with MUSCLES? I can post a pic if need be.

It is a bit odd, I've never had any muscle fig deformed. Maybe it sat crushed in the bottom of a toy box for 20 years?

I would agree but if you look at it in person there is actually a lot less material in his left leg than his right. Do you have a pic of the regular figure for comparison?

I have a few like this. they are just factory rejects that snuck by. I also have a few with bowed legs like this guy and a few of discoloration from within the plastic (not fading or surface marks). Maybe they came out of the mold too soon...i think you should "T" this guy up and let him visit the back "40"... ;D ;D

I think I'll hang on to this guy though as I kind of like the difference. Good to hear someone else has experienced this to verify that its not my imagination, thanks .

He's a real MUSCLE, hes got those wierd initials on his back. Another thing I noticed when I went to check is that the groove in his left leg is a lot deeper than the right. Again, hard to see in the pics but very evident in person.

I've never seen that MUSCLE before. I'm wondering if it's a japanese Kikuchan (or however it's spelled. I think they also have those initials on there backs). I might be wrong, But I'm pretty sure I've seen every original MUSCLE figure. I

Ah, ok, never seen him for some reason (probably cause there so may of them and I only have 50 or so, and haven't really collected them hardcore sine the mid 80's, when I was a child, so my memory is a little fuzzy on them. I guess I coulda went to any page like Nathans and looked through them, but that's alot of little guys to look through). Thanks.

I have about 160 or so and about 2 months ago, I went through them and removed any of the excess "tags" or "flash" with a nail clipper. Should I have not done that and have left them as is? I figured it wouldn't hurt to make them look nicer, as some come with excessive amount of material on the edges or injection area.

Looks like my guy is a victim of the "warped left leg". I didn't get a chance to look into the link until today and you really wrapped up my curiosity. Much appreciated. -Adam

I figured it wouldn't hurt to make them look nicer, as some come with excessive amount of material on the edges or injection area. I don't think trimming extra flash effects it one way or the other. I've never payed extra for a defect muscle and the only ones I keep apart are the really jacked up ones like stumpy hands. You never know though if enough people get into collecting extra injection site sets we may see an increase in price, for example you used to be able to get m.u.s.c.l.e. bootlegs really cheap, people would just throw them into lots for free, now there is a couple of guy collecting them so they're actually worth a bit more than a normal flesh m.u.s.c.l.e..
