The Panosh Combat Commandoes are great! I'm obsessed with them. Besides those in the pic above, I have these. Two from my childhood days, the rest from ebay, except these. Found these at thrift store last month

Found these at thrift store last month Now that you have shown yours, I see that I actually have one. I am sure he had to be a throw in with something I bought. He is a repaint of the guy on one knee in the first photo. Yours has brown hair, a red headband, yellow vest, green pants and brown boots while mine has a red headband and black hair, dark blue vest, a lighter blue pants and black boots.

They are about army men size, maybe a little smaller. They are also rubbery and flexible. You can see about them here. fantasytoysoldiers.blogspot.com/2014/09/unknown-japanese-skeleton-soldiers.html?m=1

I had one of my all green army men come with an arbitrary red splotch on him and he was always one of the wounded too. Those and the one whose guns or bayonets broke off.

Great finds! I love that back in the day, many sets were colored differently, they used a lot of colors in a set, so you could build up more factions or groups.

Missus was digging in the veggie garden and pulled up an army man. Even caked in sod, could see 'e was sum sorta commando given the bow & knife. Cleaned up nice. Pretty rapt he was a 'unique' character, Vietnam US Recon was his line - marked Arco w/ the "Hong Kong" print deliberately blurred out. Anybody guess a year on this? My guess; early/mid nineties.

I honestly just dug a couple of these guys up a few days ago. Vintage Army Men that I have no idea what to do with. There's only a China Stamp on the bottom. No year, nothing.

I honestly just dug a couple of these guys up a few days ago. Vintage Army Men that I have no idea what to do with. There's only a China Stamp on the bottom. No year, nothing. Those are knock offs made from Matchbox 1/32 scale American Army moulds from the 1970s - over the years there have been so many reuses of the Matchbox 1/32 moulds that they have deteriorated. I used to have a big 1/32 knock off set in the early 1980s as a child with these mouldings - at that time in better condition - they were slightly smaller than the actual Matchbox 1/32 originals. Mine had a light grey set for the German troops using these mouldings as well as others from the Matchbox 1/32 originals and the American Army were either these moulds or based on the Airfix 1/32 American Army....the set came on a very large, nearly A4 sized cardback with tanks, jeeps, barbed wire etc. It was a great set. Hope the info helps.
