I have been picking up a few figures here and their from older waves, over the last month - Blue Devil, Cylotron, Golden Pharoah and a few others. I know the line is done now that wave 20 is out, but has anyone been collecting these? www.dcuc.info/

I so wish I did. I bought wave one when it came out...it was kinda weak and i sold it a few days later. I never payed attention at all till i saw a Hex figure. I really would still like him...there are alot of very nice figures in that series. Where are they going from here (meaning DC and action figures?)

Since this isn't my favorite scale I super cherry picked this line. I have a Kamandi, a Jonah Hex, and a Question figure. I kinda wished I'd gotten a Zatanna too.
My choice of purchases really leaned towards characters who might not get another figure for awhile so personal faves. like The Flash, Green Arrow, and Captain Marvel didn't come home with me.

Where are they going from here (meaning DC and action figures?) They have re-branded the line as "DC All-Stars". Pretty much the same figure concept i believe.

There will be the retail line that is the All-Stars line and stuff from 52 will be in there as well. DC classics will continue online at matty as a subscription line. I've collected this line since day 1 but have slowed down alot. Just have cherry picked the last few lines for characters I like.

I don't pick up many of these but over the weekend I did buy a solid black Batman. I also at Christmas found Superman at 5 Below for 5 bucks each and just bought two. I do want to get a Nightwing but I will likely have to on Ebay for him unless they do another release?

I've been picking up a few of the Wave 12 pieces lately just so I could put together a BAF Darkseid. The only reason I bought these figures was because they were on clearance at TJmaxx and now I'm hooked on putting together Darkseid.
I have the following BAF Darkseid pieces so far: Torso left arm left leg

i always intended to, and now seems to be the time, since the buzz is kind of dying down now that it is all done. i picked up half the series 17 figures at target this week for clearance price of $3.98 each. there is also a cylotron sitting there, but for some reason, that clearance price is only marked down to $8.98, haven't decided if i want to pull the trigger on it yet or not. but yeah, the same thing has always happened with dc direct. figures retailed pretty high and sold for awhile at inflated rates, but within a year or 2, you practically had to give them away if you ever decided to part with them. i learned from experience with those, at hoped it would work the same way with the universe classics stuff. dcu classics are better toys than dc direct anyways. dc direct are more for display, where classics have playability to them. i don't play with toys, but i always feel they should have that abilitiy available, not just some eye candy.

I've been waiting on some of these to hit that price on clearance at Target but I doubt I'll be lucky to find any at 4 beans each. I am getting closer to putting my Darkseid BAF together and recently got his right leg. Just waiting for some good deals on Ebay to finish him off.

I finally finished putting my BAF Darkseid together but now I've run into a problem with it which is I can't get the torso and crotch piece to connect. Does anyone have a solution for this?

What exactly is the problem? Is it to loose, to tight, or something else all together.

What exactly is the problem? Is it to loose, to tight, or something else all together. I'm not sure either the peg attached to the torso isn't long enough or something in the inner crotch piece just won't snap but nothing looks wrong with the crotch piece. I was thinking about breaking the blue washer under the torso and maybe it will give me the space I need to make it snap but then again I could ruin the torso by doing that. I just hate that I finally put this thing together and it won't come together.

The same wave 15 figures with Raven, Martian Manhunter, Starman, Omac, Sinestro Corps Batman, Cheetah, Cylotron and Golden Pharoah keep showing up over again in various stores here for $10 each - Winners, Giant Tiger and Liquidation World. Would be nice to see a different wave at clearance, all I have seen are these for over the past year.

I started my collecting recently but only knew about DC Direct Figs, nice selection but not much on the articulation front. Then I was informed of the DCU Classics, WOW now I am on the hunt for them in a big way, the face sculpts are amazing and the Articulation is fantastic, I like my figures to look as if they are doing something whereas with DC Direct they look as if they have lost a roll of carpet...lol From the Blackest night & Brightest day storyline.

Picked me up a Batman unlimited and will likely pick up the Flash and Superman the next time I see these new figures. I like the new flashy/glossy looks.

Picked up the Batman Unlimited Dark Knight Returns Batman and have to say I love it especially because it has MOTUC pieces to it, in particular his arms and legs are taken from He-man himself. I think this figure is a must have for any hardcore MOTUC collector.

Absolutely beautiful line, I think thy blended sculpt and articulation better than any other line I've seen, but I'm just not into large scale figures like that, I already don't have enough room as it is!!

Superhero figures were somewhat scant in the 80s, the decade of my comic book collecting peak. This was a line(among others)where I ask "Where was a line like this back then?". Some of the figures from this line, mainly the ones that were re-dos of ones from the old Super Powers line were tempting but not tempting enough to override the price point issue. I thought these were a bit expensive for what they were. Don't get me wrong, most of the sculpts and paint jobs were good but I suppose you can't collect everything....

Is anyone still collecting these? I'm thinking about picking up some of the peg warmers. I really don't know too much about the line as far as to what are the high end hard to find ones? Of if its a line not worth even bothering with cause the prices are a bit out of control like the masters of the universe classics.

I was then the price hikes were getting too absurd for only new head molds most of the time. Kinda glad the line failed for Mattel with their GREED.

I picked up both the Doomsday containment suit and unleashed versions and recommend both. Great figures and must have for DC Classics displays!

I was die hard early on, buying every figure in every wave...and then the price hikes and continued exclusive waves killed my desire to collect them. I have everything up through Wave 7 (I believe), and then I started cherry picking after that. I picked up the Unleashed Version of Doomsday as well. Great figure to end the line on...and he's huge.
