i couldn't find another thread here specifically about comics/graphic novels. if i missed one, i apologize to the moderator. anyways, any one here read the funny books?
i had been an avid reader/collector of comics since high school. i've amassed a walk-in closet full. currently trying to bring back some space in there and have been unloading most of my marvel and various indies on ebay. decided i would stick with just the dc titles in single-issue format and anything outside of that that is good enough to own will be in trade collected edition format.
speaking of tpb, does anyone know if the crystar comics were ever released in hardcover or tpb format? would love to read this whole series, but no longer have the time, energy, or desire to pick up all the individual issues.
another fav of mine in the superhero department outside of the dc universe is Savage Dragon. LOVE the crazy epicness of the series. so many off-shoot characters (and i am totally glad that image no longer feels the need to have another series branch out for every character ever to grace the pages of a savage dragon story!). i really like how it takes itself seriously, yet obviously isn't. good stuff.
another strong recommendation i have is Prison Pit. 2 gn's have been released so far. Book 3 is coming out soon (or may already be out). yeah, if you are easily offended, you should totally read Johnny Ryan titles. and be offended. dude rules. in relation, Prison Pit's star character, Cannibal Frackface, has been made into a vinyl toy! totally missed out on this release because i live a godzillion miles away from san diego and couldn't attend sdcc. waiting for the flipper prices on ebay to drop a bit.
ANYWAYS, whats your comic format fix?
